the beautifull bay stallion grazed peacefully, a 7 yearold, very small for her age, ran under his legs. she giggled and gave him a hug.
"i love you domino" she giggled
he pulled his head up and nibbled at her clothes. she giggled and pushed his head away.
"rose, its time to come inside" her mother called.
"ill be right back, stay here" she kissed his forhead and ran inside. the beautifull purebred arabian lifted her head and whatched her run into the long moble home.
we had saved up money to buy a horse. we knew of a place that had horses for dirt cheep, some even free. the money had mostly gone to a horse trailer, there was no need to pay for a stable, our friends said that the horse could stay at theres. there where rows and rows of gorgeouse horses, i read the papers on their post siently as i walked by
"bella-warmblood thorobred mix"
"james-some sort of trotter"
"jesica- apaloosa"
"domino-purebred arabian"
my heart lurched. i read it again, not beliving it.
but there it was.
"domino-pureblood arabian. bay" i looked lower.
"dam(mother) shadow-" i didnt need to read anyfarther. my mother was a few horses down, looking at a beautifull silver bay"
"domino" i whispered. the gelding, who had his head down a if sleeping, twitched his nose and raised his head up.
i looked into his gorgeouse brown eyes, tears falling out of my own.
"mom" i called, rubbing my hand on the small white spot on his forhead. she walked over and read the paper.
"its probaly not him honey"
"it is him, i know it is. it say pure blood arabian, i have looked at millions of pictures of arabians, and of domino" i looked at the bays head, "domino never realy looked like a arabian to me, does he look like one to you?"
a man walked up. "can i help you with anything?" he asked
"may we know a little more about this horse."
"well, we where tolded that he was bred by originaly owned by *my last name here*. his parents where starving and where iven back to their old owner but he was kept, then his owners moved and gave him to *whoever we gave him to*"
my heart felt like it was in my throat. it was him! i stared at my mother, she was still listening. i nudged her and stared.
"we'll take him"
