The dark is not a fun place.
Cassius had known this since he was very little. A boy with an active
imagination, he always seemed to imagine monsters and beasts that
surrounded him in his room. They terrified him, but he knew he had to
do something about them.
First he asked his mother. She told him that monsters had a strong dislike
for the colour green. So he started wearing green.
Next, he asked his father. He was told that they disliked the sight of
any stuffed animals. Cassius started to collect plushies.
Finally, he asked his brother. He was given the idea that, if he
dressed like the monsters that plagued him, then maybe they would
mistake him as one of their own and would leave him alone. That's
how the horns and tail came about.
Years on, he now understands that monsters are not real, and that
really he has nothing to fear. But his unique style of dress has stuck
with him, and now he collects all kinds of monster jackets and
clothes.

He's pretty suspicious of everything, and is cautious of trying new
things. He tends to push his friends forward to get them to try it first,
and only once it is safe will he even think about doing it. He has a slight fear
of being home alone, and actually dislikes solitude in general. He prefers the
company of close friends, and is very social.
