My profession? Oh, right. My work is done with musical therapy. Like I said, I'm specialized with fillies and colts, and I mostly work with severely injured ones . I'm mostly in the burn clinic or the amputee clinic.
There are some fillies and colts in there that adore the times when I come in, but some are a little harder to reach out to.
After all.....I can't help some pony who doesn't want to be helped.
I always wanted to do something with music when I was growing up in Ponyville. When I went with my auntie to her work one day I met a young pegasus colt named FeatherFlight. He had got his cutie mark just months before...it was a pawprint...he was destined to work with animals...and then there was a fire in his house....he was trapped in his bedroom.
When he was finally pulled out, he was horribly burnt. He managed to survive however, and he never gave up. He couldn't speak properly, mostly no one could understand him.
I however, could understand him perfectly. His eyes and actions spoke louder then any words. He became my best friend, and I taught him to play the drums. He loved it, just being able to beat the noise out of the drums seemed to....relax him.
Eventually another young earth pony filly named Sunflower saw what we were doing.She'd lost her two back legs at the knee, and was trapped in a wheelchair. She asked if she could join in and I handed her a triangle. She loved it, and soon we were all smashing the instruments as hard as we could. Soon my auntie noticed the two seemed to open up to me. And she asked me if I knew what Music Therapy was. I didn't at such a young age, but she explained it to me.
I knew in that moment that that was what I was meant to do. And lo-and-behold my cutie mark appeared. I still keep in touch with Featherflight and Sunflower. They come to visit me often, Featherflight pushing Sunflower's wheelchair as fast as he can to come see me.
I love my life, and I love being able to help other ponies.
