I know, the title will scare you off. Buy a dragon? Please, I just filled in these lines
Thing is, I have histories and personalities for them, and when I give characters histories and personalities, I tend to get attached. So the payment just makes it easier ^u^
I might make this into a mini dragon shop (With permission from the lineart owner) if it is popular enough.
Basically, the payment is pets (for now). The regular payment is one pet, but it might increase is the dragons description is detailed, or one I'm fond of.
Below are the dragons and their descriptions, which include payment. I might use she/he pronouns, or they/ze/xe/etc. You can keep the pronouns, change them etc. Also note that one you adopt them, they are YOURS. You can use them for anything, change their design (but not too much). If you no longer want them, please take them either to a character pound or return them to me for readopting/for me to keep.
Dragon #1 [ Open ]
This dragon has aqua scales with darker bands around each of it's limbs, horns and muzzle. The leathery skin in their wings is blue, a barely noticeable change from that of the scales. They pride themselves on their love of water, something many dragons tend to avoid. They swim through the water like another dragon might fly through the air. They have perfected the talent of holding their breath for long amounts of time, and managing to get to the surface just as their air runs out. [Name] Is very show-ffish and tends to try and do tricks while in the water. In fact, they have started up an informal show of sorts which they make others pay to view. The payments vary from food to money to an interestingly shaped rock. Their talent in the water makes some of the older, or more suspicious dragons whisper about them, rumors spreading about being in an alliance with a sea serpent, or half sea-serpent themselves. However, whenever they get the chance, [Name] corrects them and points out they are in no way sea-serpent-y so they cannot be related to one in any way, and that sea-serpents, while quick to anger, are rather lovely so please-could-you-stop-talking-about-them-as-though-they-are-dark-monsters.
Their friends (Which may or may not include a sea-serpent crush) have almost all been practically forced to try swimming at leas twice. Their friends tend to just watch from the shore though, and enjoy the shows for free.

Dragon #2 [ Taken by Cookiekiwi24]
This dragon used to get teased for his brightly coloured scales, still does sometimes. [Name] waved this off, not caaring for he loved his scales. However, as he soon learned on his 20th year, the colours were a curse. They made the world around him brighter, more vibrant when he was emotional, but his scales lost their luster and started to turn grey. These grey scales were evil in a way- when he wore them, they soon overtook his body and his mind would turn dark, evil. The Grey, as the darker version of [Name] calls himself, is hard to get rid of. When The Grey overtakes [Name]s body, they attack and try to murder. Only when bathed in more than two colours of fire does [Name] return to normal and The Grey leaves. When [Name] is normal, he can breath multi-coloured fire on his scales if they are beginning to turn, but sometimes The Grey spreads too fast and he is 'consumed' in a way. The Grey breaths grey fire which not only burns, but takes colour out of the things it does burn.
Due to his issue, [Name] is rather feared, and has few friends. Those who are his friends have worked out a system to remove The Grey, and can often get him under control in an hour.
[Name] is fearful of hurting others when he is not himself, and tries to isolate himself from things that might make him emotional. However, loneliness and fear of himself can easily turn his scales.

Dragon #3 [ Taken by The wolf who bites ]
This young dragon is a rarity. Xe is an albino dragon, their white scales only useful if they were to live in the snow and not a dark, dense forest. Xer pale pink eyes glow like a beckon, making them a useless hunter even at night. However, Xey excel at anything underground. Xer eyes are weak, and get sore in the sun, but underground xey see better than others can. Not only that, but they seem to have a way with the earth, being able to know what kind of dirt was best for this, which kinds of metals are the best for what etc. if their skin hadn't been so sensitive to heat, they could have also been an amazing smith. [Name] is very hppy-go-lucky, if a bit sensitive at times. Shade and caves are easily xer favorite places to be, often fiddling with some gems they found or sktching an armor or sword idea down for the smith to prototype.

Dragon #4 [ Taken by Belle ]
This green dragon has acid in her veins, and poison in her bite. Lighter green veins are noticeable in her wings, and they have a slight bulge. Not too big, but big enough to be seen. [Name] is rather feisty, but their bark is worse than their bite... metaphorically. their bite could actually cause extreme pain, and then death if not cured. However, xey don't bite anyone, unless they REALLY deserve it. For example, a murderer. even then... not a nice way to go.

Dragon #5 [ Taken by Belle ]
Always the smallest, always the runt. [Name] was never greatly admired for anything, whether it be their sickly colour, orweak hunting. Everyone teased them until one day, [Name]s skill ws revealed. They could fight, and they could fight well. However, one day someone took it too far. A large dragon, one who admittedly frighted the others, even though some may be larger, came out and attacked the poor little runt when they accidentally awoke the dragon from his slumber. [Name] bravely (and stupidly) egged the monster on, until it attcked. The pale yellow dragon gave him one, two bleeding wounds before his own tail had been bitten off, his shoulder deeply wounded and eye blinded. Scars covered his body like bark on a tree for months. Soon many faded, but manys till remained. [Name] became easily frightened, always cowering away from others. Flight terrifies them, as the tail is a very important factor of flight.

Dragon #7 [ Taken by Belle ]
[Name] is a legend, a myth. None truly know if ze exists or if it's just a tale. Sculupted out of gold, with diamonds for claws and horns, rubies for eyes, [Name] is a longed-for prize. Ze was crafted by a wizard dragon, and brought to life through an experiment. The kindly old wizard saw that the dragon was pure at heart, and left them stay sentient. Zer scales are crafted out of gold, their body made of stone run through with quartz like veins. Diamonds for the horns and claws, while thin yet strong sheets of silver for the wings. Ruby eyes that can see through the ground for other gems and metals. When pulled out, their golden scales grow back again.
[Name] is rather edgy around strangers, worried that someone will try to steal zem and steal their scales for money. When Ze trusts someone, zey give their new friend a scale from zer chest, which have the most gold, and are lucky if [Name] pulls them otu or grants permission.

Dragon #8 [ Open ]
[Name] loves to be around people, and is often surrounded by a group of people. Therefor, [Name] is rather popular, both among the older dragons and their peers. They are excellent at hunting, excel at flying and is great at flirting. They're also the child of the hunt leader, which tends to help. With their pretty markings and flirty ways, it's no surprise that they've got many admirers.
