After a time that felt like forever Alara saw a small gray blob in the distance, She stood up tall and started wagging her tail, Enja was the blob and he ran towards her in a flash of time. He was from another pack, one that hated hers, but Alara and Enja knew that love was real, or at least Alara did.Enja walked up to her and nuzzled her head "i haven't seen you in soooooo long" he began. Alara smiled cheesily and prodded Enja "tag" she said, and turned around and ran. Enja soon caught up and barked "tag!". Alara stopped running and smelt the air, it was smoky and it hurt Alara's nose.

She realized the only fiery thing in miles was that phoenix. "troubles coming" Alara whispered.
"whatever happens I'll protect you" Enja promised, but when the Phoenix came near he looked frightened, but he raised his fur and growled "leave my love, she is innocent". The Phoenix laughed. " do you think this is a joke?" Enja asked angrily.
" i do indeed,handsome" The phoenix replied.
Enja pounced on the Phoenix and grabbed onto it's claw, "no" Alara whispered. The phoenix screamed and threw Enja as hard and far as he could, and he landed with a 'thump' a couple of metres away. Alara was frozen onto the spot, unable to take in what was happening. She blinked, and when she opened her eyes Enja was engulfed in flames, his fur was charred black and he screamed. "you evil bird!" Alara screamed " you're killing him".

The bird sighed "it's for your own good Alara"
