Alara squeezed through the den entrance, her parents were fast asleep, but she still walked carefully, making sure she didn't step on anything that might crackle. She got out and stood up straight, she could finally get out to see Enja, the only wolf she really adored. She started running, running as if a rabid werewolf were chasing her, she stopped suddenly and sniffed the air. Nothing stirred in the grassland, except there was something flying behind her, but birds wouldn't stop her from getting to her destination. She started walking, tired from constant running. She heard wing beats behind her, then a squawk that hurt her ears, she whipped around to see what it was. When she saw the phoenix she shook her head frantically, this was the beast the killed the hero of her pack years ago. She backed away repeating "dont hurt me i'm not threat".

The phoenix landed in front of her, and cocked it's head towards her "hmm.. you shouldn't be out here all alone".
"i shouldn't be here if I was in a mob" she snarled, as courage surged through her body.
"Well i'm here of course" the bird hissed, and blew a flurry of flames into the air from it's beak.
Alara backed up again "i just want to see Enja" she shivered
"Enja, the bad one... you should go back" the bird commented
Alara squinted at it and realized how big it was, flames seared around it's body, and yet it looked comfortable.
"look you may think i'm going to eat you or something, but i'm just here to tell you you're making a bad decision"
Alara was about to make a witty comment, but it lifted off and flew away, shaking it's head in disappointment.
"crazy bird" she muttered, and continued walking
