I could see the rabbit infront of me, it was sitting just ahead, nibbling a piece of grass like there was no care in the world. I could feel the grass beneath me, and felt the energy in my body rise up until I could no longer hold it in. I leapt forward, sprinting towards the rabbit at full speed. Mud flew up as my paw pads thundered across the ground. The rabbit shot it's head up before it whisked away. Oh it was fast, but I was faster. I used all the power in me until I was running faster then I had ever ran before. The rabbit was right there now, so I leapt. I felt the ground vanish beneath my paws as I loomed over the rabbit. Yes, it was going to be mine....
A sharp growl awoke me from my dream. I lifted my head lazily, to see another dog who had come to share the abandoned car growling at me. I must have been sleep-running again. I whimpered before laying my head down and closing my eyes. If only it was real. This time my dreams took me far away, to a place with no cars, no humans and no mean dogs. Fields, rivers, waterfalls... and rabbit. I could see the rabbit, right infront of me, it was sitting just ahead, nibbling a piece of grass like there was no care in the world. Here it goes again.

Sorry, but I need to get my character's story rolling here. I'll have to make a dog design for him myself, sorry ^^; I just can't wait to see the results.

The decision was tough, but she has a feminine look about her.
Short story:
(Story involves my human character, Arlen. Though I don't have a human form picture of him yet, I do plan on making one really soon. This girl would be his dog, which would be my first character with a pet.)
The huge city of Berlin was no place for a stray like myself. Too many people, too many visitors coming around this time of year to visit Germany from their own country. The city was dangerous enough as it is without the foreigners, which is why I always hated this time year in late Summer or early Autumn. On this particular evening in the crowded streets, the fear of the unknown almost forced me to stay in my little alleyway and starve for the night. If I ran for the forest to find food, no one knows what could happen to me before I got there. People could trample me, cars could slam into me... the risk was not a full belly tonight.
So instead I decided to stay curled up and cozy in my cardboard box with a torn-up pillow inside. The blaring car horns and civilians yelling into the night almost sounded like music once I got used to it, and although my tummy felt hallow, I was lulled to sleep.
However, my rest did not last long. Instincts told me to get up and find food. Now that the moon was like a searchlight in the sky, I was able to see that the streets were almost empty. Everyone else was sleeping. No feet or cars tires to run me over. I peered out from behind the corner and sniffed the humid autumn air to sense any possible danger. Nothing. So I darted out from my sanctuary and headed for the forest.
My running turned into a slow jog. I picked up the fresh scent of a human nearby, and it caused me to rethink my decision to find food. Oh, but the forest was right there... instinct was fighting instinct. Food over danger. My growling stomach prevailed, and I took a few more steps toward the forest. I can only try to force my uncertainties away.
Suddenly, I heard a crack. And another. Faint cracks. But what was it? Then I saw him. The human that I smelled. And now he saw me, too. Closer and closer the man approached me. My tail curled under my belly. I wanted to run, but my feet were frozen. This person got so close, he could probably just reach out and kill me here... but he didn't. He just knelt down and looked at me. The orange sky caused a warming light to hit us both. I noticed the human's hair glow like golden candles that I sometimes saw in house windows. When his hand reached over my scruffy head, I didn't feel danger. Afterwards, he stood and walked away as if he had no further interest in me, but I felt differently. All my life I wanted to feel a warm hand of a companion like that. I wouldn't give that up. I had to follow him if I wanted to ever feel his touch on my head again. And so I did.
