I was done. Done with my older brother, done with my self, done with everything in that house. So naturally, I left. I just left. No warning. I used to sneak away all the time, so it wouldn't matter. Anyways, I walked to the nearby allyway to clear my mind. Okay, maybe not the best of places to relax, but I could defend myself if anything happened. But that's beside the point. I put up my hood and leant on a wall, taking in the morning air. I sighed and closed my eyes, I would be away from here soon, back home. I was about to take a walk around the area when I heard a small noise, one that most people wouldn;t be able to make out. But I'm not most people. It was a canine's yelp, I knew it. I was am animal lover, so I immediatly went in the drection of the noise. I looked down and saw a small, dull pile of fluff. At closer inspection, it was a puppy! It lifted it's head up slightly and yelped again. I jumped in suprise, and knelt down to see what was wrong, the pup watching me carefully. I saw that the bottom of it's two back legs were crused under a heavy(for a pup, anyways) pipe. "It'll be okay," I said, softly petting the pup's head "but this will hurt a bit." It closed it's eyes and I lifted the pipe away, trowing it off somewhere. I carefully picked the pup up and ran back to my brother's house, driving off to my house. About 20 minuted of driving, and I was back in my home. While driving, I noticed the pup was a girl, with strange dulled rainbow markings on a purple coat. I also started calling her Charlene, after an old friend. I also noticed that the back legs had no fur where the breaks were, and was very small, maybe the runt. I eventually got her leg set back up, and the fur grew back. But it wasn't colorful, it was a shade of gray. Charlene never really grew over the size of a medium-sized dog, but shat never bothered me. I still don't know where she came from, but I'm glad that I saved her...
Well, I'm overall proud of this!
