Here is my puppy Phoebe (a.k.a. Phoebelicious!)
She's 8 months old, and an American Staffordshire crossed with a Boxer (both parents purebred).
She does, in fact, have a criss-crossing pattern on her tail. We contacted her breeder and she confirmed that it was a family trait, and she has the most prominent (strongest-showing) pattern of any of their puppies they've ever seen.
She was recommended by her breeder to be adopted first and foremost, since she had the most personality. We looked at the litter and left to decide. The add was taken off of kijiji (I know what you're thinking, the people were scam artists, but they are NOT. A family that called the puppies ugly were kicked off of their property. So don't worry!) anyway. The add was taken off of kijiji and we were crestfallen - we loved the litter, and thought they were all gone. We went back the next day and - sure enough - Phoebe and one of her brothers were the only two left! My mom picked Phoebe up and she wrapped her paws around her neck in a huge puppy hug. We were in love. We bought her and brought her home. My other 15 year old JRT Pandora, of course, got the puppy in a headlock the second she saw her, and they still argue (constantly), but when they're both tired they're such good snuggle buddies!
Phoebe lives happy and healthy as ever today. We play with her and her big ball in our backyard in the snow, and take her for walks when we can (letting Pandora sit in our coats since she can only handle about 3 minutes of walking in Canada weather).
Anyway yeah c: I tried to do my best getting Phoebeloo as accurate as possible. I hope you like her!!
