Yeah, wasn't really creative with this one.. Meh..

Raven was originally a unicorn taken captive by the dark fragments. They invaded the world, and since there was no one powerful enough to stop them, they just kept flooding in, through a rip in time. Raven was lucky enough to survive; she was thrown in an empty 'cell' of sorts, concealed by strange dark matter. There, her childhood withered away, spent purely on practicing her magic.. Other than the hours of crying herself to sleep, of course. After she had reached the age of a young adult, she made her escape. A tiny, ugly little burn in her hole of solitude. But it was good enough for her. After getting out of her cage, she found a large flaw in her plan; She just floated there. She had nothing to propel herself with, and no amount of flailing her hooves would budge her where she needed to go. It was then she decided to be a fake alicorn, using her well-defined magic to craft her a pair of wings. Surprisingly, they looked quite natural. Now she charged through her prison, out the portal, and into a swarm of dark fragments. The world outside looked rather gray and faded, only remains of houses. Surely, though, they'd had enough time to do worse damage? As Raven savagely fought against any fragments that challenged her, she found she was not alone. Another survivor, but not a pony. More like a dark violet deer, with long, flowing cyan mane and.. A unicorn horn? What was it, some freakish mutation? Either way, Raven was quick to join the stranger, for she felt her strength ebbing. She'd never really stopped to think about food; The dark dimension kept that in check for her, somehow. But not here. And that was the start of a most odd friendship..
