Thrush's gleaming golden eyes penetrated the shadows,
eerily glowing to light his way. Through the darkness he wandered,
his stumped tail high with pride.
Legends of powerful clan-cats rung in his ears,
his mother's voice sailing across his deep thoughts.
He was determined to find them, he was half-clan, anyway;
They could surely not deny his strength and bravery!
The blue-gray kit hopped along the field,
pausing to rest in a cave. However,
it was occupied already by another cat,
with a sleek black coat and gray paws.
The stranger looked well-fed, muscles ripping under his
well-kept pelt as he slept. Thrush felt fear
crawl along his spine, just the shear size of this tom!
But he was a clan-cat, nothing could stand in his way!
Letting out his most intimidating hiss, Thrush braced himself
to take on the oblivious male. Head shooting up,
the stranger lashed around, and Thrush went soaring through the air. He let out a frightened cry,
and lay crippled in the tall grass. Crippled, and useless in the tall grass he lie.

Thrush is Darkpaw's step-cousin, born a kitty-pet he set out at a young age to become a clan-cat. He met a former warrior and spent a couple moons training with him before he successfully found a clan. Getting accepted was another story, however..
