Designs for Adoption!

Postby SnowStar » Sun Sep 15, 2013 7:55 am

Ever had one of those days where you just can't make up your mind on anything? Yeah today is one of those days for me.

I am currently trying to come up with characters design ideas for a new comic I am making on here. Only problem is, is that I can't seem to make up my mind on what theme I like right now, if any. These lines were great when trying to come up with designs - not too big not too small just perfect for little details to show, if any.

Since I'm not that happy with how they came out and since they're just not clicking for me. ALL are for adoption! If you wish to try for them please fill out the form below.
Extras are allowed, and prettying up your form is fine.

You can enter to up to two pups!

So full of hate were our eyes
That none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead
But never victory
So let us cast arms aside
And like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe
Whilst we find the path

Pup Number: 1
Name: Dylan
Gender: Male
Personality: Quiet, but very friendly when engaged in conversation. Sometimes he can be a bit short tempered. He's athletic and surprisingly a bit artistic, though he wouldn't tell you. He had a hard life as a young pup, but was given a second chance by his current pack. As a result, Dylan has a strong drive to fix everything, for others just as much as himself, and is quick to forgive and give a second chance. In his free time he enjoys playing with the other young wolves in his pack.

intro...
All I remember was darkness. I was cold, I was alone, and I was hungry. I cried out for my mother, my father, anyone to come and help me, to get me out of here and take care of me. But no one came. I had stopped crying and given up hope, when Skye found me. She licked me all over, restoring the warmth to my body, then gently picked me up by the scruff of my neck and pulled me out of the cool log and into the summer sunlight. I remember feeling the warmth of her body as she carried me back to her den. I guess that was when I fell asleep, but she told me what happened.
Skye brought me to the alphas of the pack and told them about how she had found me, abandoned by my birth parents and left to die. She begged to keep me and raise me as her own pup. After some consideration, the benevolent alphas agreed to let me join the pack. Skye raised me as her own pup, and I'm forever grateful to her and the pack.
⋆ present day - Dylan is now a yearling ⋆
"I'm bored." Announced Kya, one of the young pups that I was babysitting.
"What for?" I responded, wagging my tail playfully. "There's so much we can do!"
"Like...?" She asked skeptically.
"We can... er... hmm." I trailed off. We had been busy that morning, swimming at the lake, playing tug-of-war with the hide of some prey that had long been eaten, wrestling with each other, and gnawing on bones that my ma had given us. I honestly wasn't really sure what we could do next.
"We could play a game." Another pup, Denali suggested.
"But we've played all the games." She whined.
"Oh hey, I know!" I replied, an idea sparking in my head. "We'll make a new game, come on!"
They jumped up and followed me, curious at what I had in mind. I remembered seeing a clearing while hunting the day before that would make a good playing field.
As I walked I checked behind my shoulder to make sure the pups were keeping up. I sighed as I saw them bickering again. Sometimes I wondered if they would ever learn to get along with each other.
"Hey pups, stop fighting and hurry up." I said, maybe a little too sharply. I doubled back and nudged them ahead along the path. They looked up at me in annoyance, but curiosity got the better of them and they quickly bounded down the path as I sprinted to the lead again.
When we arrived at the clearing they darted out in front of me and started sniffing around excitedly. I scanned the ground for fallen limbs to use to set up a goal. I dragged a few branches to the edge of the clearing and glanced back at the pups. They were rolling around wrestling, playfully I assumed. I turned back to my work. I stuck two large branches into the ground about two wolf lengths apart and lifted up a long thin limb on top. It made the perfect goal post. I sat back and smiled with satisfaction.
Suddenly I heard whimpering. I turned around as Kya ran up to me, tears running down her face. I put a paw around her and pulled her to my side.
"What's wrong, Kya?" I asked softly, glancing up to see her Denali looking up at me guiltily.
"Hey, Denali, will you please get me a big ball of sap and leaves?" I called, the looked down at the small female wolf, waiting for an answer.
"Denali... is always too ... rough.. with me." She sniffed, her tears wetting my fur.
"Hey, hey, it's alright." I said gently, licking the top of her head.
"Please don't let him hurt me again." She pleaded, looking up at me with big eyes.
"I won't." I promised, giving her another soothing lick. "I'll talk to him this evening. And don't ever be afraid to tell me if he hurts you again."
She nodded. "Thanks Dylan. You're my best friend." She said, smiling as she blinked her tears away.
I grinned back at her. "Thanks! Now would you like to help me finish setting up this goal?"
"Sure!" She squeaked, back to her hyperactive self.
We finished fashioning a goal out of the rest of the branches. Denali soon arrived with the ball.
"Ok, I'll stand here and you two have to work together to get the ball past me and into the goal." I explained. They exchanged an excited glance.
We spend the rest of the afternoon playing the game, which we decided to call leafball. By the time we finished both pups were so tired that I had to carry them back to the den site, Denali on my back and Kya by the scruff of her neck. I dropped each of them off with their parents then went home to my den, curled up beside my ma, and went to sleep.

Pup Number:
#1
Name:
Lila, meaning 'Purple' In German
Gender:
Female
Personality:
Lila is a very caring wolf, she can't stand to see others in pain. Lila is a very quiet wolf and it's not often that she gets a friend, so when she does get one she holds them dear to her. Lila likes a breeze blowing through her fur and the rushing of water in her ears, Lila likes swimming but she's afraid of drowning which is why she only wades through the water rather than swim. Lila loves being around flowers, it's calming to her and she adores the smells and the butterflies it brings, Lila's favorite flowers are Daisies, Lilies, and Moon flowers. If you can find those flowers in an area you might just find Lila.
Story:
Lila sat quietly by a stream, she was just a pup at the moment but soon she'd be a big strong wolf as her father keeps spouting about, she was his pride and joy but she didn't want that, she wanted him to equally love her siblings and him loving her more caused her siblings to pick on her and leave her out when they're playing. That day they had run into one of Lila's mother's friends and she had pups as well, while Lila's mother talked to the other pups' mother Lila's sibling played with them, one of the pups stopped playing to look over at Lila and ask if they should include her but Lila's siblings just replied with that she couldn't because she didn't know how to play. Lila knew how to play, she could hop and bounce like they do but they didn't want to play with her because they were jealous of her. Just then Lila had heard a yelp, the two mother's had gone off for a short hunt and told the pups to stay in that clearing, Lila turned her head to see one of her brothers pinning down one of the other pups a snarl rumbled in Lila's throat at this sight and she quickly got on her paws and dashed over to them and tackled her brother off the yelping pup, "Don't you dare lay a paw on another pup like that again, and if you do I promise I'll make you hurt tenfold." Lila's lip was drawn back to reveal her sharp puppy teeth, the other's had stopped playing to look upon the scene, Lila got off of her brother and nipped him on his paw before she got off of him and went over to the other pup and helped her back on her paws, "I'm so sorry about my brother," Lila apologised, the pup smiled, "S'all right. No harm done, I'm Nyra." A smile grew on Lila's face, a possible friend, "I-I'm Lila!" she stammered, "Do you want to go play?" Nyra nodded and trotted ahead of Lila, they left the other pups behind and they starting playing by the stream away from them, after awhile they sat by the stream and started talking, Nyra was apparently picked on because she was the runt and Lila told Nyra about her mishaps of being the strongest in the litter and that her father paid more attention to her than her other siblings which is why she's not aloud to play with them. Then the question arose to Nyra, "Why did you help me when your brother was hurting me?" her head was tilted to the side, Lila looked to Nyra, "Well, he was hurting you, I couldn't let him do that." Lila replied Nyra nodded. Just then the two mother's came back with prey in their jaws for a late lunch. Lila and Nyra trotted off to get their fair share, and when they got there Lila had a big juicey rabbit waiting for her. Nyra and her shared the Rabbit together and they had become great friends since then, though they barely see each other since they're all grown up but they do cross paths once in a blue moon.
What will you use it for?
If I get little pixel art of her she'll show up in my signature. I'll probably draw her if I get better at drawing wolves and dogs, and actually I had intertwined one of my other character's puphood into her story, if that was alright.

Pup name: Alaska
Pup number: 3
Gender: male
Personality: Alaska is a very feisty pup, an lives to play! Be careful, as Alaska is very competitive and may cheat! When he is not loud and playful, Alaska is sneaky, sly, and most of all, smart and clever. He is also very curious, so make sure he doesn't find anything dangerous.

What will you use him for? A character in the book I'm writing!

Story: (may be short because of time) As Alaska sat in the forest, he was scared. He was still just a little pup...and something bad was happening. His mother lowered her head. BANG! A loud noise shot through the woods! Alaska's mother, Frost, quickly picked him up by the scruff of his neck and carried him back to the den. Back then, Alaska's eyes and ears were juuust opening. Now he is older....but let's learn something about...his pup life. One day, Alaska was curled up into a soft, furry little ball. He opened his eyes and yawned when his Mom came in. "Alaska," She said, "Time for training." "You mean...hunting training?" Alaska's eyes were half closed. "Yes," His mom said. "Are you ready?" "Oh boy oh boy oh boy!" Alaska was suddenly a bouncing pup of fun! "Easy now!" His mom said, "You got to save that energy!" Alaska nodded, and trotted over to the outside of the den. His mom took him to the other side of the river. "Begin by crouching down." His mom said. Alaska crouched down and pulled back his ears. "Now, you wait." His mom said, growling at the prey silently. The prey was in just the right spot! It was small prey, a rabbit. Alaska looked at his mom, eager to know if could spring upon it yet. His mom nodded. Then, the 2 wolves leapt out of the tall grass! They chased the fast rabbit. Eventually, Alaska caught it! "Good job!" His mom said, nuzzling Alaska. Alaska wagged his tail. "When do we get to eat?" He asked eagerly. "Right now. We haven't had breakfast!" His mom said. And so, Alaska and his mom walked over to the den. And that was the most fun thing ever in Alaska's pup life...well, so far.
