------- Walking, stalking, silently through the blinding white and grayscale, it slowly lifted a paw, stretched, another step. So close to the Tundra Flitz it could taste the scaled meat in it's drooling jaws. Shortened tail tucked between hind legs, and pointed ears erect, the creature leapt, squarely landing, the reptilian left helpless under it's weight. Using the full mass and strength the predator held firmly to it's victim, injecting short, shark-like fangs and cutting off the frill. Now screeching in agony the fattened lizard slowly seeped away, life draining in the form of scarlet that stained both the Tundrian's coat and territory. Soon silence rang in every ear, death creeping along the wind. Victorious, the mother dragged the carcass to her den, allowing her cubs to devour flesh for the first time. New life had sprung in the barren, rocky valleys. And it was time that this was known. -------
