Name;; Henna
Talent;; her talent is jewelry making/ repairing.
Specifically with beads.
Cutie mark;;A little bead heart dangling from a string.
How she got her cutie mark;; When Henna was younger , her class went on a field trip to the museum. At the museum was a exhibit on jewelry though out the years. She was fascinated by the jewelry and decided to stay after her class went to the next room. When no pony was looking she picks up a Piece of jewelry and accidentally drops it. The ancient necklace brakes and in a panic she fixes it as well as she can. She actually did a fine job and enjoyed herself fixing it, adding in new materials from the art-and-crafts table set up for colts and fillies. It looked better than before. She confesses right away though. Henna got off with a warning because she was honest. But the jewelry curator there points something out that she was to panicked to see... A cutie mark! The curator saw what a good job she did with the jewelry and asks Henna to volunteer there to run the jewelry arts-and-crafts stand. Much later, Henna now works as a Curator there and is (finally) allowed to touch real jewelry. (As well as make it for the gift shop!)
Personality;;Henna is very proud of her efforts in whatever she does. That does not mean she brags or is over confident. She actually is not very confident in what other ponies think even if she is proud herself. She is good to have around as a friend since she is always wiling to listen, even if others don't listen to her, assuming her life is always fine. She is sometimes embarrassed about being a alicorn in public. The last thing she wants is attention for something she did not earn or different treatment.
History;;Henna's original home is a far off kingdom. But a very unique and beautiful one. So much is the color of gold there. (One of her favorite colors) her family is the royal family of this kingdom. Her family consists of her older sister and mother. Her mothers name is Queen Painted Pearl and her sisters name is Princess Opal. Painted Pearl would always try to get Henna to do more. Opal was proud to be the next in line to rule and her payed little attention to Henna. When anyone did pay attention to her it seemed to be because they wanted her to do something. She is more carefree than her sister and mother who always pushed her a little to hard.
She decided at a young age to travel to different towns to find her cutie mark. Her mom disapproved and first, but her sister thought it would be good for the filly to find her cutie mark. So, she moved to a small town. At the town she earned her cutie mark and came back to visit. When Henna came back her mother was disappointed Henna had such a simple cutie mark. This hurt Henna who was very proud of earning it. Eventually her family accepted it and let her do what she wanted. In the back of Hennas mind she always feels that they just gave up on her. Being a alicorn it was difficult for her to not get stares walking around in towns. Having a simple talent made her stared at around high society ponies often making her feel unwanted and un comfortable.
This lead her to staying permanently at the town. She wanted to lead a normal life If she was unwanted by her family. She is not sad, she considers herself lucky and always reminds herself what tough lives some ponies have. But she always had the thought that she was a waste of wings in her head. That haunts her though it went away for a while when she helped stop a thief.
She never made many friends during school. Most of them just asked questions about where she came from and how being a princesses was. After a while the colts and fillies got bored of those questions and left her alone. The only pony she really is close to is Topaz who's older than her. It some times would make her talked about by parents who constantly asked to meet Hennas parents and tried to get there sons and daughters to be "friends" with Henna. She was smart enough to know they where just taking advantage of her. She bonded with Topaz because Topaz did not care much that she was a alicorn. But cared for her because of who she was. That's all Henna looks for in a friend really.
Henna in her kingdom is respected because of her family and power. Most of the ponies there appreciate her for being down to earth and kind. But that's not enough to win over plenty of ponies who frown on her for not having a powerful talent, for being shy and for not being around. Lots of them think she hasn't earned there respect or place as a princess.
Extra stories;;How Henna got her beadsHenna was working on a hot summer day at the museum. After cleaning out a closet full of old merchandise for the gift shop she coughs on the dust and trots out. After stepping down on the cool marble to head out for the day and into the warm sticky sunset. Her eyes heavy from the long day she smiles at the pink sky. Her long hair lifts of her neck as she drops down the steps letting her skin breathe. It was past closing time and she stayed late to help Topaz. Topaz was the one that lets her help out at the museum and became almost like her second mother or possibly a best friend. After she walks down the steps she sees a Pegasus run out with Topaz chasing the hooded figure. The Pegasus takes off and being a earth pony Topaz could not fly after her. After a second Topaz sees some jewels stick out of a bag she was carrying. She realizes the pony is a thief and starts flying after her. She also starts flying and gets close enough to use magic to take the jewels back. The thief turns and realizes she has no time to take the jewels back from the younger pony since police ponies started catching up. Henna got all the jewels back and the Pegasus ask her to land so they can catch the Thief. When she comes back with the jewelry Topaz and the head of the museum thank her. The head of the museum tells her from now on she's allowed to touch the real jewelry again and can get bits for working. Topaz smiles and says "You did a good job Henna. Come to the gift shop and ill by you anything."
The next day at the shop Henna looks though the gift shop. Even though its all stuff she's seen day after day it, took her a few minutes to pick. But she runs up to some pretty blue beads and asks for those. Topaz nods and checks them out. Henna puts them on. They look perfict on her long mane and her wings. She knows her mom could by her much more expensive jewelry if she asked. But these had more meaning than even the rarest gem. Because she earned it. To this day, those are the only jewels she wears.

(What topaz looks like..yes I actually just designed her now to be friends with Henna XD)
