she is an alicorn because she is the secret sister of celestia and luna but lives in ponyville as a normal civilian spreading love. she is the rightrul ruler of equestria.
she used to be teased a lot because of her pelt colour and eye colour (which used to be grey) but then twilight gave her wings and she exploded in rainbow (which is her magic soal radiating around her body).
after that nobody picked on her. she is now very pretty, and even rarity adores her and wishes to be like her, so thats why she made her mane like hers.
