Her name: Light Shimmer

Her personality: Light Shimmer is collected. She can be counted on to try and resolve a situation as best she can. She is often found trying to sneak away from her duties as princess. Shimmer prefers to get her own way rather than not as that appeals more to her. Being referred to as Princess makes her feel uncomfortable so she tends to try and sway ponies into calling her Lady Light Shimmer instead as that is less formal. Shimmer has a bit of an attitude and tends to mouth off when she's in a bad mood. She is more of a glass half full rather than half empty kind of mare and always tries her best to be cheerful and happy. Sometimes it's hard for her to keep calm and she tends to lose her temper rather easily no matter how hard she tries to be patient.

Her story: This is the story of a Unicorn mare. Is what I would say if it was such a thing. No. This is a story of darker nature. When the Princess of Rethien is struck with a dire illness Light Shimmer and her sister Etoile Noire must do everything in their power to save her. They must ascend to Alicornhood and become princesses themselves in order to save the true ruler by discovering an ancient secret that has not seen the light of day for over 1000 years.

Let me start off by saying. I am only a princess because of a dire situation here in Rethien.

It started on just a normal day. One like any other. I was playing around with some new enchantments for the light bulbs I make. It hadn't really been going well as most of the bulbs had either broken or just rejected the enchantment.

I sighed as another bulb snapped in half. Gathering it in my magic field I slowly moved the two parts into a cardboard box with the rest of the broken bulbs. I blew a black and rainbow strand away from my right eye and started work on another bulb. Everything seemed to be going well with this one until there was a series of rather loud knocks at the door. My concentration broke and the shattered and I groaned, my head falling onto the work surface with a thud.

The knocks came again and I lifted my head with a grumble and headed toward the door.

"Alright alright! Calm yer clams already I'm coming!" I yelled and used my magic to open the door and glare at whoever had chose to interrupt me. Stood on my doorstep was one of the royal guards. "Can I help you sir? I'm the middle of an experiment" I asked through gritted teeth while trying to keep a tight rein on my frustration.

"I am sorry to interrupt madam but I must assure you that this is urgent business. The guard have been ordered to bring all mares of 18 to 30 years of age to the castle as there is a dire emergency. The princess is deathly ill and we do not know if she will yet live. She has agreed to asses all suitable mares in hopes of finding either a temporary or... permanent replacement" he replied his face solemn.

I frowned at his words and began to think. Finally I nodded and stepped outside using pulling the door shut and then gesturing for him to lead the way. We galloped side by side toward the palace a sense of urgency driving us forward.

We skidded to a halt outside the palace and he quickly used his magic to signal for the bridge to be lowered for the two of us. I could almost feel the thick chains moving as the bridge made it's way toward the paved ground. My heart leapt into my mouth as we ran over the bridge the metal of his shoes making harsh thuds against the wood of the bridge. He left me at the great front doors with strict instructions of where to go, I nodded and quickly cantered inside the Palace.

The place was decorated in the most beautiful way and it made me wonder just who had chosen all the things that lined the great halls. Better yet who were the ponies in the paintings that hung on the walls.

I shook my head and galloped onward trying to ignore the buzz of questions in my mind. I skidded to a halt outside of a large room and almost crashed into the side of a purple Pegasus mare who was stood waiting outside the door.

"Am I too late?" I panted as I sat down heavily on the floor. She turned and shook her head with a smile. I breathed a sigh of relief and turned my gaze to the wall and examined the picture hanging there. The grey mare seemed to be waiting for something or someone. I found it odd that the princess had a painting of a half zebra on the wall. Who was this Pegasus? Did she know the princess or had it been one who came before her that had known this striped mare? The more I stared at the painting the more questions my mind asked.

I jumped when a hoof gently landed on my shoulder. Turning round I came face to face with one of the guards who were on duty outside the princesses room. I nodded and slowly walked toward the door, each step feeling like a thousand miles until I finally entered the room. I looked around the room, my deep pink eyes falling upon the large bed and the exhausted looking alicorn lying on it.

"Princess"I whispered and bowed quickly as she turned her midnight blue orbs on me. She shook her head slowly and patted the bed.

"Come, my little pony, keep this tired old mare company for a little while" she told me softly. I moved forward stopping at the front of the bed and feeling more than a little unsure of myself. After a moment I steeled myself and clambered onto the bed trying my best not to shake the poor princess whose eyes were weary and her head heavy. I lay down in front of her and merely remained silent my body trembling slightly.

She gave me a gentle nuzzle and then lowered her horn so that it touched my own. My world exploded with color as faces and places flashed by that I could have never imagined, sights and sounds blew past as a colored hurricane spun up around us. The princesses eyes glowed white with magic and I felt my eyes slip shut not of my own free will as the thrum of magic exploded into the air around us..

The image of a strange pony like being emerged from a strange fog. His eyes were a beautiful shade of rain cloud grey and his expression was I had never seen anypony or anything for that matter wear before. A look of such wonder I thought it must be like being shut in the dark for so long that can't remember what light is and then seeing the sun for the very first time after so long. Ice clung to his jaw, chest stomach and left foreleg. His form stuck in my mind even as the image faded from view.

"It is done. Rise Light Shimmer" came the soft and somehow hoarse voice of the princess. I opened my eyes and stared at the princess who looked like she was about to collapse. As I watched, her legs seemed to give out and she fell forward.

"PRINCESS!" I cried and leaned forward to try and catch her. The princess was heavy and I couldn't bear her weight so I sunk down onto the bed with her laid across by back.

"Thank you" she whispered and gently pecked my forehead before rolling off of me and curling up with a yawn escaping her lips. "You may go now Light Shimmer.r" she whispered as I slipped off of the bed. I quietly walked to the door and left her room so she could rest.

That night I tossed and turned unable to sleep as thoughts of the strange creature I had seen plagued my mind. Eventually I managed to drift off to sleep only to be assaulted by flashes of places and ponies I had never seen or even heard of. After all the images had passed I sound myself standing alone in a dark and barely lit place.

"How far are you willing to go? To save the princess. Would you accept the title of princess yourself and embark on a quest in order to save her?" A voice whispered to me

Why do I want her?: Well usually I'm not a big fan of black and rainbow designs, especially on alicorns. I happened to come across this design when wandering around and just fell in love with her. Not sure why or how but I just felt a strong drive to apply for this beautiful mare and prove that not all black rainbow ponies are mary sues. I thought about how much I could do for this particular pony and just how far I was willing to go to win her. Soon the inspiration for her story flowed and I grew so interested in seeing where I could take it and what would happen. Really just developing her has given me a really strong attachment.

Kind and understanding.She knows what heartbreak feels like,and doesnt like it one bit.She feels like a Nobody after the heartbroken days.Actually,she is a Nobody.She loves to RP with her friends about video games and shows they like.She worries about her friends,and she cries when they are sad.She loves being around Saix,her boyfriend.Even though Saix,Axel,Amxen and Cyrus protect her,she will do anything to protect them too.She likes drawing herself with the ones she loves most.Her drawings are mostly memories.

The youngest daughter of Lord Xemnas,Kyyx was protected all the time by her big brother and sister.They love her so much.But because Amxen was a princess,Kyyx wasnt.She often wondered why she didnt have a horn or wings.She wondered who her mom was and why she left.She wondered why it was always night were she lived,and why the moon was shaped like a heart.Little did she know how important she was.As she grew up,Kyyx's father started letting her go on missions with her brother and sister.Kyyx felt weird on her first mission.Her hooves turned to claws and her hair turned to spikes.She grew twice her size and roared.A shape-shifter.A whole line of shape-shifting ponies.They shape-shifted into beings called Unversed,Heartless,Nobodies and Dream Eaters.Kyyx did not know what happened after that,because she had passed out moments after.When Kyyx awoke,she found gifts by her bed side.Shoes and string.Kyyx passed out again after that.Knowing that his daughter couldnt live without more streath,Xemnas turned Kyyx into a Alicorn.Now,she plays with her brother and sister,not knowing what comes in the future.

"Huh....AHHHH!" *SMASH!* Amxen lay flat on her back,seeing stars.Kyyx stood over her. "Um,are you okay." Amxen's eyes were still spinning. "Kyyx...Why is there four of you?" Kyyx looked worried. "Amxen,how may hooves am I holding up?" Kyyx held up one hoof.Amxen swinted. "Four...?" Kyyx looked at her hoof. "Uhh...You're right." She grabbed the tip of Amxen's hair with her teeth and pulled her up.Amxen spread her legs out and got a very un-amused look on her face.Kyyx giggled and hit Amxen. "You're it!" Amxen stood there for awhile,letting Kyyx run away.Then,she ran after her. "This is gonna be fun forever!!" They both screamed.

Her story: Solar bell was a great singer ever since she was a filly. as she grow she went on to fulfill her passion and earned her cutie mark after her first successful audition in the big lieges. she moved to the Tundra kingdom when she was a teen. she fond the double winged ponies quite fascinating and loved to sketch the land scaps. she decided to stay in the Tundra kingdom after she made quite a few friends and made herself known to the kingdom.
