This probably something I shouldn't be redlining, but decided to do anyways. It's not the best but here's a few things I feel you could improve upon c:
First of all, I'd like to mention that your own horse was rather good. You have most of the concepts down, and maybe a few more could help!
You should remember that a horse's head isn't too curvy. They have a round bone in their cheek (Like I said I dunno if that's really teh cheek or what~ I'm not a horsey person).
Also, their heads aren't too elongated and the snout is curved a little Downwards.
The ears should be pointed forward
They eye should be more almond shaped
Lastly, the mane can be flatter.'
