I do not for the life of me know how this got here. but to begin with I was doing this for a contest, liked what I saw and wanted some feedback from my friends... So I posted. Again no clue why it ended up here I cant draw like that!

but it seems a little messy
i thought when you said it was going to be based off your avatar that the symbols would be black and there would be a nature base on the dog XD
not to mention how cool would it be if you spell out Coexist like in your avi?

This is a great concept to match your username.
As charmens recommended, maybe spell out Coexist, in some sort of formation around the neck or tail?
Black I feel is a good base- just basically you might want to rearrange the symbols somewhat in a more organized pattern, maybe around the legs, collar, tail, etc. The head marking looks great ^^
Would you allow me to edit so I can show you the idea I have?

like I've heard people saying before me, I go for a more organized pattern, maybe from her neck to her shoulder to the hip to the tail? I'm not really good at explaining that but I'll give you a pic if I see one to make it clear
