Character number: 1
Name You'd Choose for It: Zistex
Gender: Male
Reason You Want It: His design is amazing and I want to try to turn him into an amazing humanoid and use him everywhere. <3
History/Background/Other: Zistex is a creature of mystery. He never truly existed, and is instead an apparition that only appears to those with tainted souls and hovers around them to frighten them. If their soul is tainted enough, he will use his lantern to take it away, leaving the person hollow and unfeeling. What he does with the souls he takes nobody truly knows, and his existence is thought to be merely a myth thought up by lunatics who have gone too far over the edge. Those who are tainted begin to see him as just the faint glow of his lantern, thought the rest of him slowly fades into view as they sink further and further down. He has no sense of guilt or any true emotions, only knowledge of what his purpose is and a tug to do what he does. He has no real choice in it, and feels no sympathy for the beings whose souls he's taken. He is a creature of the deepest darkness with no soul of his own, nor any corporeal body to contain one if he did have a soul. He is never really there, yet always there, unable to be touched but feared all the same.
He is also the only creature that knows his true name. Those who fear him and believe he is really there have begun to refer to him as "The Soulless" and have even begun to weave tales about him to frighten children into following right from wrong, or even to convince them to continue to do what they're told. One false myth about this apparition is that if you stare too long into his vivid green eyes, you will lose control of your body, leaving it for him to inhabit. Zistex has no desire to be more than what he already is, nor does he desire anything else other than to do what he has been doing for eons.
To clearly see the face of The Soulless is to see the death of yourself.
I understand that by adopting this creature I take full responsibility for it.
