Princess Arsenic and Nightshade.
Princess Arsenic lived 3000 years ago and ruled over a kingdom that fell to ruin. She never left the kingdom even as all her subjects either left or died trying to save themselves from the mysterious famine that plagued the kingdom. Arsenic tried valiantly to save her kingdom but in the end failed. She collapsed and never got back up.

3000 years later. Nightshade stumbled upon the ruins and found the ghost of Princess Arsenic watching sorrowfully over what remained of her kingdom. He offered to bind her spirit to a mortal body therefore bringing her back to life because his special talent is the art of necromancy. After a while of thinking the ghostly mare accepted his offer, after a long and tiring ritual Princess Arsenic walked the earth once more.
