So recently a story about a dog who was dragged to death for a mile and then shot has been all over the news.
Her name was Jetta. She was a black Labrador and she was nursing 9 puppies when someone, while everyone wasn't there, dog-napped her, tied her back legs with baling wire and dragged her down a dirt road for a mile and then shot her..
I dont... Why would... I cant even..
I'm still in shock about this. Sure, stories like this make headlines all the time. But it might have something to do with this happening only 2 hours away from where I live. Okay, yeah, thats still a ways away but too close for comfort in my opinion....
This poor defenseless dog, who was nursing NINE newborn puppies is bound, tied, dragged down a DIRT road and then shot!
When I first saw this, I couldn't stop crying my eyes out. What's worse is now Jetta's family had to explain to their toddlers that their family dog died. (I always think its sad when you have to explain to a toddler that a pet died or a family member, etc.)
It's just so.. Unbelievable. I know there are people like that in the world but.
I dont even know any more.
I think im slowly losing faith in humanity. DX
