Which pup do you want?:
Silver Daisy Pup, #1 <3
What would you name it?:
I would name her Chrysanta, which means 'golden flower'. Since you put Daisy in the codename, I thought it fit, and it's a beautiful, Latin name, original and sweet. I adore it, just like I adore her.
What would its gender be?:
Female, of course.
Why do you want it?:
I can see her character shouting out at me and begging to be set free, and I can already see how she would work into my other characters' lives. Nellie would treat her like her darling little daughter, and Lunaia, who's never been able to find a friend in anyone, would find someone to talk to and chase away the loneliness with in those beautiful lilac eyes. The males would swoon over her as she shyly stumbled through the clearing, and the elder wolves would protect her, feirce and loving.

(Just a little story I did. <3)
Chrysanta woke up and gave a cute little yawn, blinking her eyes several times. It took her a long moment to realize she was not sleeping in the forest she had known for so long, but rather tucked safely out of the way of the elements' harm, still in the forest, but hidden inside a small, cozy cave. Beside her, other young pups and teenage wolves slumbered peacefully even as the first golden rays of dawn crept silently up on them, making the gray and silvery walls of the cave shimmer. Chrysanta smiled pleasently at them, patting one cool wall and relishing the feel of it against her sleepy-warm pelt. If she was a cat, she would have purred.
"Morning, darling." That was Nellie, peeking in the doorway, her smile bright and beautiful. Chrysanta loved Nellie already, like a mother. She was sweet and kind and protective, everything a mother should be. She constantly reminded little Chrys was a beautiful young lady she was, and what a bright future lay ahead of her.
Chrys smiled brilliantly back at her. "Good morning, Nellie." She chirped, then let out a soft squeal as a stray limb smacked her in the shoulder. She fell back against the (thankfully) moss-padded stone just as her best friend, Lunaia, bounced into life. It was amazing how quickly the other girl went from sleeping to fully awake, like the flick of a switch. Chrys, not even annoyed, giggled as she brushed a few stray fibers out of her fur and added cheerily, "Good morning, Lunaia." The other girl smiled and fluttered her little butterfly wings.
"Mornin', Chrys. Sleep well?" Lunaia didn't even yawn as she gracefully went to the mouth of the cave and sat just within the reach of the sun's rays. It made her pelt and eyes shimmer like they were coated in fine glitter. Chrys stared a bit enviously at her friend before smiling. It didn't matter. Lunaia wasn't one to gloat over looks, and Nellie thought she was beautiful.
Chrys nodded, peeking out into the clearing. A few of the males were already up and lumbering around the clearing, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as they picked over a few leftover peices of prey from the freshkill pile, deciding amongst themselves (quite noisily, and with ferver) who would go out to hunt more. It was a slightly chilly morning, the dew not-quite freezing onto the wonderfully green blades of grass, and no one wanted to leave the warmth of the sun that beat down heartily on the clearing. "I don't think I've ever slept more soundly in my life." Chrys added truthfully. When she was alone in the forest, she was forever waking up at the slightest noise, ready to run from the predator who would bring her demise. Thankfully, that hadn't come before Nellie had, leading Chrys safely back to her home and accepting her into her family as easily as that. Chrys still almost didn't believe it, it had been so easy and smooth.
"Ooooh, don't look now, but here comes your hunk, Chrys," Lunaia suddenly cooed, her eyes brightening as she spotted one of the other pups stirring to life. A rather large pup blinked his eyes and suddenly they opened fully. He saw the two girls looking at him and blushed bright red.
"MY hunk?" Chrys replied with amusement, her eyes dancing. Okay, so maybe Shard made her heart beat a little faster with his bright, eye-catching colors and gentle cyan eyes, the color of the summer sky. Maybe she found that bandana he always wore unbelieveably adorable and couldn't help but watch when it fluttered in the breeze like a superhero's cape. Yes, maybe she had a bit of a crush on him. Just maybe. It certainly didn't hurt that his mother was Cheri, Nellie's best friend and pretty much adopted sister.
"WHO'S hunk am I?" Shard eyed them warily, looking confused and bewildered. It didn't help that he had slept fitfully -- Chrys knew that, she'd felt him kicking and growling softly even in her deep sleep.
Chrys giggled, raising a paw. "Mine, of course." Lunaia snickered into her little black paw, her eyes twinkling like tiny stars as she watched Shard blush, then calm down and give them both a good-natured grin. He wouldn't hold their teasing against them, he was much too nice for that.
"Oh, okay then. That's fine." He teased right back, winking at Chrys, and Lunaia stuck out her tongue at him, realizing what he meant. Then they all laughed. It was nothing, only fun. They all knew what, in perfect probability, would happen. Chrys and Shard would become mates, and Lunaia would probably end up being mated to one of his brothers, Shadow or Boulder, even though she often spoke of finding their personalities and ways rediculous and not liking them one single bit. Of course, there were a few other young males who sprung up possibilities for her.
Such as... "Boo." Smirking widely, Zane (who was older than Chrys, but slightly younger than Lunaia) jumped onto Lunaia, pinning her tail to the floor. Lunaia screamed a high-pitched squeal, her eyes widening, her face going pale, and Zane immediately fell to laughing, rolling about on the stone floor in his delight.
"ZANE!" Lunaia squealed when she realized the 'ghost' was nothing more than the annoying little black-pelted pup with his dark gray and sapphire markings and admittedly handsome emerald eyes. "I thought I told you not to sneak up on me any more!" She added in a desperate yelp, tugging her tail from under his hold and glaring at him sharply as she held up her wings, a sign that she wasn't going to give up on her fight until she was sure he wouldn't come back again -- or at least for a while.
"Since when do I listen to you?" Zane tilted his head to the side slightly, seeming genuinely curious.
"Since never." Lunaia admitted with a sigh, still glaring at him. Zane just grinned a lazy, handsome grin. He had a natural sort of good looks, and even in his worst moods and at his most annoying, he was attractive. He was a show-off, strong and sleek, and even though Lunaia loathed him at times, she would say yes to being his mate the first time he asked with no hesitation. Even Chrys knew that with firm decisiveness.
"How 'bout we get out of here?" Chrys was startled by a whisper in her ear until she realized it was only Shard, who offered her his paw. Giggling, she decided she could leave her friend to bickering and flirting with Zane for a few minutes and not be a TERRIBLE best friend, so she nodded and took his paw, giving it a light squeeze. Blushing slightly, he squeezed her paw back, then skittered as silently as he could for the front of the cave, pulling her firmly but softly along behind him. She nearly stumbled over a pile of pebbles, but he caught her before she could fall.
"Thanks," She whispered, and he grinned, nodding. She understood he didn't want to speak, that would alert the others of their imminent escape. Three more steps. Two more. One more. Then the silky grass was under their paws, and they took off running like little rockets, knowing the plant would muffle their steps.
Once they had made it to the other side of the clearing and were hidden neatly inside a small bramble thicket -- they had dug a tunnel under it long ago -- they simply sat for a moment, panting and gazing at each other with soft eyes as they both grinned and giggled victoriously. They had outsmarted their friends, both of which whom thought themselves slightly superior to them, even if they'd never admit it. "That... was... amazing," Chrys managed to wheeze out, her eyes sparkling as she cuddled closer to him, enjoying the feeling of his warm fur against her warmed fur (the run had been a good idea, warming them up with the exercise) in the chilly, biting air that nipped against her ears and nose.
"Definately... awesome," Shard panted back, still gasping for breath like she was. But his eyes were brilliantly bright, staring intently into her's, in fact, with an intensity so strong that it alone made her blush brighter red than she thought she ever had. "Even better... because... it's with you." He added after pausing a moment.
"Awwww," Chrys whispered to herself, but didn't say anything. She didn't want to derail him.
He continued not even a minute later when he seemed to have caught his breath again, giving her a charming little smile. "Everything's better when I'm with you, Chrys." He whispered because there were heavy pawsteps just outside the bramble patch and he didn't want anyone finding them here (although they'd have to look hard, underground, in fact...) and stealing away their little bit of alone time. "You're the...,"
Chrys paused, ears eagerly pricked up, waiting for the wrods she'd been longing to hear from him. Truthful words, not the teasing ones they both exchanged when in the presence of Lunaia to amuse their mutual friend.
"... best friend I've ever had, Chrys." Another brilliant smile accompanied his words, and Chrys tried hard to hide her disappointment. She didn't want to be friends. She had friends -- Lunaia, some of the other girls from the pack. Chrys wanted him to ask her to be his mate, to tell her how beautiful she was, how she shone next to Lunaia, how the two of them were enough to make any young male drool... but especially about her, she wanted to be like Lunaia and get the compliments, the appreciative glances.
But she forced herself to smile as sweetly as she could and nod. "Thanks, Shard. You're a good friend too." She replied chipperly, but anyone could have noticed that her eyes were missing their signature sparkle. They simply weren't as vibrant and as alive as they had been a few seconds ago when she was holding her breath, blushing soft, faded pink, and gazing at him as though he were the only male left in the world. The way she tilted her head to the side just a bit let him know she was listening more intently than any other girl would listen to him, and her little tail excitedly swept back and forth across the ground -- sometimes he didn't think even SHE knew she did that when she was excited.
Shard smiled at her and nudged her lightly. "Let's get back to camp." He suggested, and Chrys nodded, the missing words like a bitter taste in her mouth as she crawled easily out of the tunnel, popping up into the clearing. Once Shard had rolled out, she recovered the hole with a lattice of ivy, willow sticks, and leaves she'd made herself to look authentic.
"Ssooooo? What did you two lovebirds talk about?" Lunaia pounced on her best friend at once with a wink and a flutter of her wings, eyes sparkling with amusement. She hadn't missed her friends sneaking off, but she hadn't bothered to stop them, knowing they needed the time -- and besides, how often did she get to speak to Zane in a half-way good mood? "Anything... romantic?" She giggled and flipped herself upside down in mid-air, having just learned to fly and very much a show-off, especially at times like this.
Shard had wandered off to talk with Zane, so Chrys muttered, "No." And stomped off to take a nap in the pups' den. Lunaia frowned and wandered over to listen in on the boys' conversation.
"I... I wanted to tell her, I really did, Zane." Shard was whimpering, his eyes sincere. "But there was just something about the way she was looking at me, I just couldn't do it. It's like my tongue froze up in my mouth, and all I could say is, 'You're the best friend I've ever had, Chrys'. Ugh. How could I have done that to her? I've ruined it, haven't I, Shard?" He looked at the other young male pup with a pathetic, pleading expression.
Lunaia grinned a bit wickedly to herself as she raced off to the pup's den. Good to know, good to know...
What do you plan on doing with it?:
Roleplaying with her, possibly finding her a mate (maybe even Shard if I write it out a bit and think they're good and compatible, more than just childhood crushes) and breed her if I find that perfect mate. <3 And buying her art, of course.
Have you adopted from us before?:
Nope, but I'd love for my first to be this lovely girl!
