These are the Jaydogs, a new mixed-breed species belonging to me.
The Jaydog you see before you is a female, known as Autumn. I found her in the forest, and brought her home to CS. She has assured me that the following facts about her species are true.
• Jaydogs have a long, plumy tail, quite like that of the Arctic fox. They also have long, rounded ears, like those of the Fennec fox, from the Sahara desert. Their most strange feature is the large, bird-like wings on their backs and the clumps of feathers that grow near their ears and tail.
• There are two distinct ranks of Jaydog; the muscular, much-esteemed hunting Jaydogs, and the 'underdogs', as it seems, that are the mage Jaydogs. These dogs are rumoured to have magic powers. (Autumn is a hunting Jaydog)
• Jaydogs are scavengers, and eat mainly meat, but have been known to eat fruit and roots and even catch small mammals.
• The call of the Jaydog is quite like that of the golden eagle.
So far, Autumn is the only Jaydog. But fear not, for she swears that some of her kind will come soon.
