Okay, I know this is a weird idea, but hear me out. I think it has potential.
A few participants (the number may vary depending on how many are interested) will join up. Each of us will be color on this lineart, coloring simply a base color and perhaps a few other small markings/designs. After that, it will be posted, and the next person will add onto the design. When everyone has added something, the completed product will be owned by the one who initially colored the base.
Basically, we will all contribute something to each design. Nobody will design the entire thing themselves.
Saying four people participate, there should be four designs produced. I don't believe any more than four, including myself, should join at a time, to prevent designs from becoming overly complicated.
So is anyone interested? Feel free to post with questions or suggestions as well. ^^

I would join but it's unfair that the first person gets the design and the rest of the people don't.

The idea is that each person gets a design. There will be four total products, not just one. If you were to join, you, personally, would be adding on to all four.

But then one person would get a beautiful, intricate design and the rest get half-made ones. The first person probably gets a blank one with only one color...

Hm. I don't believe I'm explaining this right. Let's use three people here for simplicity's sake: A, B, and C.
A, B, and C all separately color in a base.
B and C both take turns coloring on A's. A gets the design.
A and C both color on B's. B gets the design.
A and B both color on C's. C gets the design.
Everyone should color everyone's so everyone gets a completed design.
