My old 'sona fit the personality I had. But I'm a bit different now and I feel my fursona should reflect that. Being a canine and owning pretty blue eyes are about the only similarities in appearance. This one began siamese-ish, as I was blonde and my hair has naturally become a dark brown (though there's still some blonde sprinkled in). I then added a bit of white as it is not only cuter but I feel it fits considering I'm very pale skinned (and I'm proud of it!). The dark stripes on the legs and tail? There are dark streaks in my hair. The ginger feather on the right shoulder is actually based off of a red birthmark I have- I made it a feather here because I can relate multiple features of myself to a feather. The scars on the hindlegs? Real scars I actually have, and as I'm going for a natural-fitting appearance, my new fursona would not be complete without them.
I'm the kind who feels a fursona should be reflective upon the person it stands for, and so I put much thought into mine; I can explain every aspect of my fursona's appearance (if anyone cares to ask, lol).
Edit: the collar is based off a bracelet and necklace someone very important to me gave to me.
