He found her parents dead a few yards away into the woods. He went back to where he had left the child and licked her face to wake her. The little girl woke and sat up. She rubbed her bright blue eyes as her sandy blond pony tail swayed to her movement. She stood and climbed onto Masuku's back and wrapped her arms around his neck before falling back top sleep. Masuku sighed and started walking again. He was not sure what to do with the child but he could not just leave her there alone and he knew it.
