I would name her Athena

It's adorable! I <3 these pups!
History/background/other:
A faint outline was traced against the wall of
a building. The shadow belonged to a young pup who
had been scrounging for food. Lifting her head,
the pup sniffed the air. The slight scent of steak
still clung to the air. Following the scent, the pup
found the steak laying in an alley. Eagerly, she raced
over to it, and hungrily gulped it down. Behind her,
a man carrying a net stalked her. "Here puppy, puppy"
he murmered, lifting his net. Before the pup could move,
the net was pulled over her. She barked and barked, but no
one could hear her. The net was shoved into a cage, and the puppy
was released. Whimpering, the pup tried to escape the cage.
She was alone or so she thought. Behind her sat an adult
border collie, who looked at her sadly. "Hush little pup" she barked.
The pup looked around, and saw the dog. "W-who are you?" she
asked. The dog turned away, her eyes were filled with distant
memories. The pup looked the way she was looking. 'Whats she
looking at?' the curious pup wondered. She stuck her face against
the cold metal. The older dog laughed. "What's your name?" she asked.
The pup stared at her dumbfounded. "Hmm... don't have one I see"
the older dog racked her brain. "From now on your new name will be
Athena" she decided. Athena raced up and down the cage happily.
Athena barked at the older dog. "By the way, my name is Aurora"
she smiled.

A loud screech woke Athena and Aurora who had fallen fast asleep. Athena
jolted upright. 'The man!' she thought as the door was pulled open. The man
from earlier opened the cage, and pulled the two dogs out. Aurora struggled
towards the road. The man was forced to be pulled with her. Lights flashed, and
wheels screeched. Athena could only stare, as Aurora was ran over by a car.
Whimpering, Athena pulled to the bloody body of Aurora. All of her limbs were
broken, and blood pooled around her. The man pulled her away from it, but
Athena pulled back. "Athena" Aurora barked. Athena whimpered again. "Goodbye
Athena" her last words were strained. Then her body went limp, never to move again.
What do you plan on doing with it?:
I plan to use it as a mascot for a club, and as
one of my characters.
Have you adopted from us before?:
Nope, first time.
