Which pup do you want?: the Jupiter pup
What would you name it?: Faith
What would its gender be?: Female
Why do you want it?: I really like the coat colour and the contrasting purple spots. I think that it has a lot of character!
History/background/other:
The wind softly blew in the peacefull valley, as Faith lay asleep, in the safety of her parent's pack. Everything was perfect. Everything was fine. Until Faith woke. She stared at the scenery around her, but she wasn't satisfied. She had lived this wonderful life, but she longed for something else. For adventure. But Faith was too naive to realise the dangers of the world around her. As her parents stirred, she whispered some words in their ears, and decided, once and for all, to go and find her future. That was one of her big mistakes.
At first it was exciting. Travelling away, trying to find another pack, another life. But after that the harsh pang of loneliness settled, and she felt small, and alone. But her innocent determination stuck, and she comforted herself with weak lies, telling herself she was not weak, not going to give in and go back.
Days passed, but Faith didn't care. Even though the wild excitement of the trip had died out, that bitter determination kept her going. But only when it was too late did she notice the change of scenery. The wind had turned bitter, and the grass grew in only small, desolate brown clumps. Game was scarce. Faith grew hungrier and hungrier, but she kept on. Then she smelt a scent, drifting on the breeze. She lifted her head in hope, and followed the scent - the scent of a meal. She soon came across the food, left carelessly on the ground. But she didn't notice the scent of another dog, mingled with the sweet scent of food.
She ate well, but she was completely unaware of what she had done. Stolen someone else's food. She travelled on, more hopeful than before, but completely unaware that she was being followed. Tracked by wolves, going much faster than her. They were the wolves of that sour land, wolves that had hard hearts from the bitter place they lived. Only when she came close to their borders did she notice the growls of her pursuers. She ran hard, then, but she was weak and the wolves came closer. But she kept on going. Soon, the ground dropped below her, and far below she saw a river, that had become a deep and raging torrent. She glanced behind her, and as she saw the wolves break out of the treeline, she jumped.
Cold water covered her and she fought for air. It seemed like eternity until her muzzle finally broke through the waves, and she could breathe that cold air from above. She tried to swim, but got exhausted by the effort. Finally, she was washed up on the bank, where the river became level with the ground. But she hardly noticed. She took a shuddering sigh and fell asleep.
She was discovered by a female wolf, who had gone to hunt for her pack. As she woke, she could see those kind eyes staring into hers. As Faith rose from her cold sleep, the wolf soon walked away, but Faith followed. She soon came to a clearing, and a pack of wolves lazing in the sun. At first they were wary of the newcomer, but soon relaxed and Faith became much more closely involved in the pack.
Weeks passed, then months. Faith enjoyed her new life so much better - it seemed full of new things. She realised that she had been foolish, wandering away, but she was safe now.
But that urge to make her own pack, to live that adventurous life, still stayed, in the back of her mind.
What do you plan on doing with it?: I will definitely use her in RPs... maybe make art of her too.
Have you adopted from us before?: No, I haven't.
