Dear butterfly,
I know you're here with me,
Yet I cannot see you,
And I only wish to be.
For I had lost all hope,
Till you flew up into my beaming face,
And I could only smile,
As I felt your wings fluttering in haste.
Dear butterfly,
I wish to see your colours,
Your graciousness and gait,
As you sit upon those sweet-smelling flowers.
For I am a blind, yet young lost soul,
Flinching whenever I hear,
For I do not know what it is,
And that is what I fear.
Dear butterfly,
Don't go away so soon,
Open your wings a little more,
At least till summer noon.
Teach me how to fly,
For I too have wings,
And up in the sky,
Where you can turn in rings...
Please don't leave me butterfly,
I will be all alone,
And there will still be,
That pitiless, black place I know and roam.
