Humans have many names for it. Some call it a souleater, the more delusional ones call it death itself. These creatures are usually found in snowy and heavily wooded areas. When they hunt, they hunt things such as elk, deer, moose, bison/ox, and in desperate measures they've been known to kill even bears. They rarely eat humans, and they don't desire human contact at all. They don't eat like normal predators, as they don't rip into the flesh of their prey. Instead, they eat the soul of the animal. They hunt it, kill it, then loom over it and suck the soul from it's body. Compared to the average person, the "souleater" (for lack of a better name) it's about shoulder height. The sound this creature makes is a low pitched growl and they howl to speak to others like it, like a wolf. When one of the creatures it's killed finally dies and has it's soul taken, it releases a very sweet sent, smelling almost like cake only to humans. To other creatures, the sent is awful, like a skunks spray or rotting corpses.
