im makeing this an open species :3

the idea was of this thing being a type of monster like creature, it can spit a purple goo/ spider web like substance that is very sticky, it has venom in its fangs like a snake and will cacoon its prey to save for latter, though instead of killing it the prey is put to sleep in the cacoon and remains alive, its mainly a meat eatter of course but also loves the taste of all kinds of metal, these creatures are huge, they start as eggs the size of a full grown human male and can grow to be up to the size of a 40 year old oak tree. they will immediately calm down if scratched behind the ears even if they were after prey they will stop what they were doing and lay there for you
