Introduction
Hi everybody!
I'm looking for an Artist (or Artists) to draw a species for me!. The reason I have put this here is because I have decided to do this in a different way than usual! Lets look at the species!
Also bumps are appreciated
Introduction to the Species
I was drawing a Cavoodle ,like my puppy,(Cavalier King Charles Spaniel x Miniature Poodle) and I was drawing the leg fluff and they kind of looked like feathers then I got an Idea. So I added feathers then BAM! a new species was born! I can't really draw dogs on Oekaki (anywhere in fact) so that is why I am calling on my fellow Smoothie goers to help! I also can't think of a name for them!
Physical Description
These little pups are Cavoodles. These Cavs have fluffy and scruffy hair but it is not curly, unlike most Cavs they are more Cavalier than poodle. They have long fluffy ears with curly hair Here is some Info on their appearance: Info from Burke's Backyard
Burke's Backyard wrote:Many Cavoodle pups are born with long, soft floppy ears, large brows and a compact, round face - giving the dog an eternal puppy appearance. However, if you're interested in purchasing a designer dog, be aware that a great deal of variability can occur amongst the pups. Although all are undoubtedly very cute, not all dogs will look alike. Variation amongst the litter is influenced by the genetic contribution of each parent so some pups will appear more Poodle-like, others more like a Cavalier.
These little pups, even when adults look like puppies but are (obviously) taller, even so they only 30-35 cm high and only weigh 6 - 10 kg. But these pups are a little different... They are mixed with Peacocks! These Pups have feathers on the back of their forelegs a small crest and most noticeable of all a tail of long feathers. Their tails are around 1 metre in length, they start from the base of their (they have small Dog tails and the tail feathers grow from the base of their Dog tail) dog tail and down their back legs and end at their feet, their tails give the pups a longer appearance. Since the pups are mixed with Peacocks they come in many variations of colours and patterns.
Personality
The Pups have a very similar personality to Cavoodles but with some differences. Information from Burke's Backyard
Burke's Backyard wrote:The Cavalier is one of Australia's most popular purebred dogs, and rightly so. Deliberately bred as a companion dog, it has an adorable temperament and is gentle and compliant around children. The Miniature Poodle is another popular small breed and is known for its intelligence and loyalty. Miniature Poodles are also known to have 'neurotic' tendencies, especially if over spoilt by their owners. However the crossbreed is likely to have this tendency diminished with the contribution of the Cavalier's laid back temperament. Regardless, it is important to not spoil the dog excessively.
From the day that you take delivery of your Cavoodle puppy, it will do all that it can to be with you. These dogs prefer people to other dogs. Some owners may find this tendency to be always with them absolutely delightful. Others may find it a bit irritating. However, if you want a faithful, gentle dog that is always with you, Cavoodles are a good choice.
Cavoodles are usually quite intelligent but they are not as biddable as many other breeds. That is, during training they may not wish to comply with your commands.
Fun and positive reinforcement is the key to success, not strong discipline. Your puppy may be 9-12 months old before the penny drops that co-operation with their owner is the key to a happy life.
While Cavoodles are incredibly friendly, they may totally dominate their owner at the same time. Always make sure that you initiate the play times – and expect the dog to always walk behind you – not in front as a pack leader.
My little Pups have some dominance issues and often have little arguments about who's in charge within their parties (since the pups are mixed with peacocks and a group of peacocks is called a party a group of these pups are called a party). These fight rarely turn to blows but often consist of the Pups to intimidate each other by using their plumage, particularly their tail feathers. When the ranks have been sorted out they are as loyal and hard working as ever. These Pups are often very proud and like to show off their plumage. They are always very hyperactive and playful, they love to run, jump and play until they have worn themselves out! These Pups are not always very sensible and have an eye for mischief, often getting into trouble with their owners or each other.
