May I suggest you to take a look into the layer window next time...and create a new layer and draw the lines on that one instead of the base layer? Because it's impossible to colour it when it is taped to the white background layer without destroying the lines D:

Just be sure you re-name the layers by double clicking on them.

Ive never done layers before so how can i make one layer with color and ane layer with lines?

see the area at the bottom with the words layer 1? well go to the + Near it and click it. Then draw the lines.
now go back to the + and make a new layer. done

the lines cant be on the first layer. its as simple as that.
