these are the steps to drawing a realistic iris...
1. start with a plain circle. make sure to do a slightly darker shade.
2. add a pupil
3. take a light shade of your color and rim the pupil
4. blend the two colors so they collide evenly. i used the smudge tool
5. rim the whole iris in an even darker shade, then blend them. i used the smudge tool
6. create a white outline for where your shine will be
7. color in the shine with white
8. admire your work!
