Tobias
Tobias led out a deep breath that he did not realize he had been holding. He was trying to steady himself so that he might be able to head home sooner rather than later, but it seemed that time was the only thing that would do him much good right now. He was slightly surprised when Hazle put her arm around his shoulder as if in comfort. She had seemed so timid about making any strong emotion known since he met her, and this was probably on of the most open things that she had done. Not that she had been closed off earlier, but this just took Tobias off guard for a moment. He smiled shakily at her. "Yeah, that might have been a little too much," he said. Then he raised and dropped his shoulders in an almost imperceptible shrug. "But it was worth it." He ran a hand through his hair, making it stand on end in combination with the sweat that had accumulated on his forehead while his body had been trying to fight off the infection. He looked back over at Alyx, who seemed to still be trying to talk with the angel, but she had a glazed expression in her eyes, and she didn't seem to be looking anywhere in particular, obviously exhausted but too proud to admit it. Just like everyone else in our family, he thought with a wry smile. He looked down at his shirt, bloodstained and torn as it was. He chuckled, pressing a hand to the wound as the laugh increased the pain momentarily. "Dang," he said, tugging at the shirt and indicating the stained holes. "This was my favourite shirt." He said, smiling at her mischievously.
