Sophie backed against the wall, not having anywhere to turn. The hunters closed in on her, so close, she could feel their warm, sticky breath on her skin. "Nowhere to hide now!" One of them said. "Say goodbye, freak!" Another shouted, before lifting his gun to point at her head.He grinned cold-bloodily, pulling the trigger...
Sophie shot up in bed with a scream, sweat dripping down her face, breathing hard. She looked around, heart beating wildly. She closed her eyes, thankful it was only a nightmare. She sighed, getting out of bed and going outside, shifting into dragon from and taking flight, needing some air. She thought back to all those times when she had been caught, when she had come so close to death. The thought of it made her angry. She roared loudly, a stream of fire escaping her maw as she did so.
