Sanna blinked from under her bangs. "I-I don't understand w-what that has to do with b-being partners, b-but I believe the one with h-his bangs to the l-left, Chris r-right?" She asked.

Maka smiled to. "I think we'll be too. But you gotta be ready to work because I plan on surpassing the last Death Scythe."

"Mmhhh," The two hummed together. "And why do you think that?" Chris said, leaning his face close to hers. "And you need to be able to tell us apart to be partners with one," Jake chimed, leaning in as well.

Soul nearly scoffed. He already knew that to be a Death Scythe, you had to work harder than anyone. "Yeah, I'm ready for anything," he assured her. She seemed easygoing, but had big plans for the future, just like he did. This was going to be good...

Sanna blushed at the close proximaty of the twin's face's to her making her pale face a red color. "W-W-Well," she started stuttering harder than normal. "C-C-Chris was the o-one who said he was the m-meister, a-and his bangs are t-t-the ones to the l-left. And there is s-something about you t-two. O-One has a d-different a-air than the other." She answered. 'Please let me be right.' She begged in her head. 'I don't have enough courage to ask any one else.'

Maka grinned her determination expanding. "It's good to be your partner, Soul."

The boys smiled and pulled their heads back. "We never told you who was who," Chris said with a grin. "Yet, even when you don't know us, you got it right," Jake said, his face puzzled, then whirled up into a grin like his brother's, "Or did you?" They both said, voices making a perfect harmony together.

"D-Did I o-or d-didn't I? P-Please answer clearly." Sanna request quietly.

The twins laughed. "Oh don't worry," Jake said, leaning his arm on his brother's shoulder. "You got it right," Chris finished, "But don't think this will be the only time we ask you,"

Soul nodded. "Yeah, same to you, Maka." He then looked around the room once more. People were now associating with one another... That was pretty weird. First nobody even glanced at each other, and now they were all talking like there was no awkwardness to begin with. Well, maybe except some chick who was talking to some twins. She looked like she was freaking out a bit.

Sanna smiled. "S-So you're my p-partner now?" She asked.

Maka looked around too. Every seemed at ease with each other. She gripped her hand, it still stung from when she slapped some creep earlier.
