"Kartani," she said again, clapping her hands. Reaching out mentally, she showed Kartani a series of images, telling her that she wanted to go play outside. "Trees!"

"Wanna go play out side?" Kartani smiled "Ace, wana take your daughter outside with me?"

"How did you know she wanted to go outside?" he asked. He had gotten the same images and picked Annika up.

Kartani smiled "You know how." she laughed walking twords the door.

"You're right," he said, following her. "I do know. I wonder if she'll grow as fast as Kalin."

"Was her mother a mutant or mortal?" Kartani asked showing no emotion.
