Annika sat in the midst of a clearing, her dark eyes closed. Elizabeth's cat Cairo was curled up next to her.

Lucius wandered through the trees, flitting from shadow to shadow. He had become more withdrawn than ever.

Kay sat on the roof, her peacock tail spread out behind her. Her large wings folded delicately over her shoulder, and her long blue hair hung softly down her back, as she watched the stars.

Leona laid her head on Kalin's shoulder, her eyes closing.

Annika reached out mentally. She still spoke very little. She brushed up against an unfamiliar presence. Who are you? she asked, slightly distrustful.,

Kay opened her eyes, hearing something. I'm Kay, Leona's sister.

Ace gave her hand a gentle squeeze and jumped into the sky.

Kay thought silently for a moment, before sending She was. She thought i was dead when she escaped and i was caught, and nearly died. She explained, not understanding the bitterness.

Leona opened her eyes, and kissed him back, before closing them again, snuggling against him.

Annika nudged somewhat rudely into the other girl's mind, searching her memories to make sure she was telling the truth. When she had ascertained that fact, she withdrew. I'm Annika, Ace's daughter, she said, tone softening considerably.

"I wonder if the house is still standing," Ace commented. "After all, we left them unsupervised."

Leona nodded to Kalin, and looked at her wedding ring, smiling softly.

Kay smiled. Nice to meet you Annika. She sent, looking up at the stars.
