Jake flew, and landing, saw Amaya kick a girl in the side. An Angel. Her wings were neutral color, so no side. He grinned evily. Bad Jake was back...He retracted his wings and walked to Amaya's side, smirking. "Oh...oh. What have we here?" he asked, peering at the girl with his dark eyes. There was blood all over her and around her, but he didn't care. Her blood, her loss.
Alia smiled at Spark and Storm, loving her new dress. The suddenly, a bright flash of light appeared. "Oh, no," Alia thought with dread. Head Light stared at Alia, his features drawn, yet beautiful. "Alia. How could you? How could you betray the Light, by not slaying the Dark? He was in your grasp, Alia of the Light. Why did you not kill him? His Light asked.
Alia bowed her head. She would not answer His Light. The question was clearly rhetorical.
"I do not care, if he was your childhood friend, Alia. You are no longer a child. Your punishment is the relinqueshment of your powers for three days. Be grateful. I hear your Jacob's punishment is much worse," His Light said, smirking ruefully. Then he dissapeared in another flash of Light.
"Jake..." Alia mumbled, frightened. Her eyes wide, she took off, Spark and Storm following her. She was happy her wings still worked and she still had her dress. "Looks like His Light forgot some," Alia said.
Back in the alley, with Jake and Amaya, his Darkness apeared. His body had an odd purple aura about it. The angel was pale and wrinkled, with slits for eyes and nostrils. It was pure luck he had survived this long. Bad luck for the Lights. "Jacob," His Darkness began, putting a hand on Jake's shoulder, "Rune has informed me of your misbehavior. You know the rules, Jacob of the Dark. You must be punished.
Suddenly, Jake's shirt was off and he had no wings. His hands were bound tightly behind his back, and the sky and the alley around him were pitch black. His Darkness smirked. "How long did you know this Alia, Jacob? Do you know where she is?"
Jake shook his head.
"How many years did you know her, Jacob?" His Darkness repeated forcefully, smacking Jake's face with his elbow, making Jake's lip bleed.
Jake maintained a groan. "Thirteen," Jake spat out.
His Darkness smirked again, and called for Rune, and all Dark Angels in New York City to come to the alley. Several appeared right away, ones that had no missions. His old friend was there. Legion. Evil sack of cr*p, Legion was. He had been Jake's mentor. Legion smiled in anticipation. Jake was going to get hurt, and Legion loved pain. "Rune! I believe you can dole out Jacob's punishment. Thirteen whips with the fire's cat-tail," he said cruelly.
Alia found Jake in the alley, and landing in the dark, no other Dark Angel saw her. Her eyes were full of tears. She had heard most of it.
Jake found Alia's eyes, and in his eyes reflected his emotions. There was a bit of fear, of anticipation. There was love. And there was definately no regret. He didn't regret what he had done for Alia, and he never would.
Alia covered her mouth, and basically had to bear-hug herself to keep from running to Jake, to sheild him from harm.
