Aiden pulled Kage into a hug again. "Tell me what is upsetting you? I might be able to help?" He kissed her cheek and gently pulled her over to a seat in the corner of the room.

Angela kissed Skylar's forehead, "You make a cute little wolf pup..." She kept hold of the popsicle so it wouldn't fall from Skylar's lacking grip.

Deryn Cross & Castanet-Constance Alazne

Deryn smiled and pulled himself up onto Durendel's back, "Alright, stop fussing Durendel..." He stroked Durendel's scales and the dragon put his tail around the hunter's waist to stop him falling. 'Father, I'll take Durendel. You take the helicopter.' Deryn slipped his fingers into the gaps between Durendel's scales. 'Don't forget to wait for Angela, Aiden and Kage.

"Unless you can get rid of memories there isn't much to be done." Kage murmured under her breath as she returned the hug. She let him pull her over to the seat in the corner of the room and quietly sat down. One of her hands was messing with the end of her jacket sleeve absently as she remained quiet for a couple minutes. "I... um... how to make it have sense... I've... just have been having bad dreams about my past... the raid that happened on my entire family. I don't know why now it's coming back but it is and it's bothering me now even when I'm awake." She sighed quietly, pulling her legs up to her chest and putting her arms around them. She was quiet again, deciding how she was going to word her next thing. "And... I guess you could say I'm jealous that Angela can see my brother, and talk to him too. Deryn helped me talk to him through our minds but... I can't do that like Angela."

Skylar pulled a small face, but his tail waved as he gnawed on the popsicle when he realized Angela kept a hold on the popsicle.

Johnathan gave a small nod in a response when Deryn said he was going to take the dragon. 'I'm guessing the others left then? And... you think I would know this but were is the helicopter...?'

Leon looked down at her and sighed softly then frowned, "hum... I have question, kid. Is the kitchen or the place you use to storage food down that way?" he asked pointed down the hall, it just occurred to him that Lars' exploring would probably end up on some place like that..

Nancy looked up at Leon with a frown and then glanced in the direction Lars was headed, "Oh, no that's where Zach keeps Trinity and Damien's siblings frozen in cryogenic sleep. See Trinity killed them, but he's been working ridiculously hard to bring them back to life. It worked, but he hasn't woken them up yet. He wants Trinity and Damien onside for a big family reunion. Stop calling me kid. My name is Nancy."

Trinity woke up and immediately scrambled off the bed and backed away from the other people in the room. She pulled off the bandages from around her eyes and then stopped when she saw Septimus amongst a load of people she didn't recognize. The poor angel was squashed into a hug before he could do anything about it.

"Your eyes look strange Trinity..." Septimus managed to pull away from the hug after a few moments.

"Yeah... They don't look right when they are blue do they..." Trinity mumbled, and pulled at a lock of her hair. Someone had washed the dye out, it was dark brown like her twin's. Speaking of, she rushed out of the room before she could be stopped and pushed open the door to the room Damien was in. Trinity wasn't exactly the best when it came to being quiet when she was angry, anything she unhooked from her brother went smashing to the floor until he woke up as well and pulled her into a hug.

"Deryn can get rid of memories..." Aiden sat down next to Kage and pulled her closer to him. He put his arms around her gently and kissed her neck. "I think Angela's jealous of you too Kage. You're alive and can age and have a normal life. She's stuck in the body of a sixteen year old."

"The raid that happened on your family was a lot like the raid that happened on mine." Laurie slipped through the door and frowned at Kage. "Except I was older, and the scene of my family's massacre was my parent's wedding. You were younger, but you only saw your mother, father and brother die. I saw my parents, uncles, cousins ripped apart limb from limb and then I watched my own brother turn into a werewolf and try and kill me. I can take away a few of your memories Kage, or make you forget the feelings associated with them."

Angela stroked Skylar's fur and headed over to the window, from which she could watch Durendel flying off towards the Arctic. "Skylar honey, I think Deryn and his father are ready to leave are you coming with us?"

Castanet pointed to the helicopter where it was sat on the roof. "There's a set of stairs the other side of that building." She hissed something quietly and a group of snakes appeared from under bushes. "They've gone to fetch the kids."

Leon nodded slowly then keeping his gaze down the hall before closing his eyes for a moment focusing only on what Lars could see. It took him a few moments then and he called him back before returning his attention to Nancy, "Why? You're younger then me and as Lars pointed out earlier you're underaged. Therefore, you're a kid" he crossed his arms, "But fine... I'll call you Nancy then, kid"

Lars sighed and started padding back then transforming into human form a little later, obviously he had heard what Nancy said about the cryo sleep because of the bond between him and Leon at the very moment, he headed over to where their rescue group was, "guys... I think there is something you might want to discuss about down the hall.."

Kage gave a small nod of acknowledgement to the part of where Deryn could get rid of memories, and even though she told Aiden he couldn't help unless he got rid of them, the thought of someone messing with her memories... well, she didn't like it much. It showed when she hugged her knees closer to herself and leaned into Aiden, closing her eyes. "I know." was the only thing that she murmured before she was startled to the point she jumped, when Laurie slipped into the room, though she only heard the voice since her eyes were still closed. She opened them and looked at the girl, listening quietly to what she was saying. Kage held back a remark, and felt extremely bad for it even popping into her head to say, along the lines of 'what? are we comparing which is worse?'. She shoved it out of her mind though and remained quiet. "I don't like people messing with my head." She said quietly, looking at Laurie again rather than her hands. "I don't want the feelings since even though they are about death they are few things I remember of my family's faces, but..." She trailed off a moment with a small frown, "I appreciate it Laurie and don't get the idea I don't trust you, I do, but I don't like people messing with my head."

Skylar's ears perked curiously as he looked through the window and watched the dragon fly off. He was quiet a moment before he looked at Angela with an excited look, his tail wagging. "Was that a dragon? I wanna ride a dragon! Since when was there dragons just... there? I wanna ride the dragon." After some of his squirming of excitement, he settled down, going back to gnawing on the popsicle. "And to answer your question, yeah Kage will need me when I'm not in this form anymore."

Johnathan looked where Castanet had pointed and gave a small nod, "alright, to this set of stairs." He took a step then stopped as he heard Casta hissing something, and watched curiously as a group of snakes appeared from the bushes. "I could have just found their minds and told them but alright. That works... now to this set of stairs." He then proceeded towards the building.

Laurie scowled as Kage as she heard the thought running through the girl's mind. "I only meant to say that you're not the only one hard done to. You need to stop thinking about the past and be grateful you are able to still talk with your brother even if it's only once in a while and other people get to talk to him more often. My brother is a werewolf who's running around and killing other people. At least yours is still a good guy and you're stuck in here being pitiful. Whining to someone who cares about you about how your life is so tragic when he doesn't whine about growing up with a soulless dad and no mother." Laurie scowled and Aiden grimaced as the young girl inadvertently caused him a headache. "My name is Kage and I had a bad past and I still can't get over it and move on even though there are people who care about me! Pity me pity me!" Laurie gave another glare and then ran off as if she was expecting to be hit, punched, or be told to shut up.

"Laurie says Kage isn't coming..." Angela frowned and tilted her head to the side as the young Cross invaded her thoughts. "She says Kage is whining about dead people and won't grow up... Maybe you should go and talk to her. And do cute little rolls and whines and barks because I cannot be sad for how adorable you are." She frowned as she walked into the cupboard store. "And there's beef jerky if you want that?"

Castanet rested her head on Johnathan's shoulder and shrugged a bit, "The snakes had nothing to do, they were bored... Deryn's edited some of my thoughts hasn't he? I can feel sad about my parents death, but not crushingly sad like I was earlier... Just regretful. He's been messing with my head... I hate him but at the same time I feel grateful for what he's done... I'll get him a plate of cake and smash it into his face..."

"I am not underage in Antarctica. This is a separate country with separate laws." Nancy mumbled tiredly and then yelped in surprise as Trinity appeared crouched down right in front of her.

"Boo." Trinity grinned a little and helped Nancy to her feet, then used the girl as a leaning post because she was considerably weaker after being experimented on by a crazy scientist. "What are you doing here Leon? Don't let Angela see you, you'll lose your head. Right after I cut your hands off and Castanet cuts your feet off and Kage cuts the rest of you up into little pieces, then Henry, Mason, Aiden and Riley will scatter your ashes across the world and stamp all over them..."

"Angela forgave him." Henry cut the half demon off as he put his arm around Damien's shoulders to hold the headteacher up. "She said if she ever saw Leon again she'd punch him but that would be all."

Lars almost jumped up when Trinity sort of poofed there, he whined and tried backing up more into the wall, "Hey, hey hey Trinity Lourd Kane, if I am here at this very moment is all your fault" he crossed his arms and frowned at Henry, "did she? Lars didn't tell me that..."

Lars groaned, "all great guys... You spoiled it all... Now he knows Angela Wont kill him" he sighed, "Neh... My only threat for him is suddenly gone.."

Trinity raised her eyebrows at Leon and Lars, "Don't worry honey, I'll still murder you if Lars needs a threat. But you'll have to get on a list, right after my father. And Hakan. And anyone with a good few pints of blood."

Damien raised his eyebrows at his sister curiously, "I suggest getting her under control Trinity."

"Try it angel boy and I'll rip your spine out."

Kage was quiet, watching Laurie with an unchanging expressionless face as the girl scowled. She only flinched once and gnawed at herself inwardly for doing so and remained quiet after the girl ran off. She had to shove shadows down that had snapped up to grab the girl's wrist, them only brushing her arm before the fell. "You don't know me." The girl whispered quietly, and looked down at her hands that were balled up in fists to see droplets of blood appearing from under her fingernails which had been digging into her palm the entire time. She looked at them for a moment before she disappeared into shadows.

Skylar's ears flattened against the back of his head and he looked at Angela as she spoke with a frowning like expression. "I don't know who Laurie is but... what? Why wouldn't Kage decide to come?" He frowned a little more, evidently forgetting about the popsicle Angela held. "No... I'm not hungry anymore... done with the popsicle too."

Johnathan chuckled quietly at the idea of the snakes being bored. He wouldn't have really thought a snake could be bored... He gave a small nod as he started up the stairs when he reached them. "I wanna join the smashing of cake in Deryn's face... just because, no reason really... well I could probably think of one eventually but that's no fun." He shrugged with the shoulder Castanet wasn't resting her head on. "I'm sorry I didn't do that earlier. I don't know why I didn't... it just didn't come to mind at the time... I'm sorry..."

Laurie ran straight for Elizabeth and Deryn's room and gave her aunt a hug.

Elizabeth stared at the girl for a second before crouching down next to Laurie and putting her arms around the girl. "What's up sweetheart?"

"What are you doing Mum..." Laurie mumbled.

"Hacking into a government website and-- I don't make a good rolemodel. Ignore me."

Aiden did try to grab Kage before she disappeared, and then sighed quietly once she was gone. He got to his feet and picked up one of the crossbows from the racks. He fired a bolt out of the window and disappeared after it.

"Laurie said Kage was too upset to come or something like that...? I don't know, Laurie sounds a bit upset too. She's not in my head anymore, she's just left my mind." Angela set the popsicle in the sink so it could melt there with no problems. She then shrugged and got the beef jerky out for herself.
