Johnathan smiled faintly and turned around, shrugging and simply sat on the ground where he was standing, using the bed as a backrest. "I would, but that's no fun... plus, I'm still thought dead to the majority of hunters, including kitchen people. Who knows what crazy kitchen people would do." His expression quieted and he shook his head, "no, as far as my knowledge goes it was just me and the three of you that are still alive. I... I would know if they were alive or not." He tapped his head, "I knew you and Laurie were alive for sure, I found your minds a couple times but I wasn't given the will to come and see you guys. Bumping into you was an accident."

Deryn frowned and sat down next to his dad, gently nudging Johnathan's shoulder with his own. "They are probably all together watching us right now saying 'Oh gosh, the remainder of the Cross family is run by nutters...' Actually that is definitely what mum would say..."

"I thought you were dead. There's a memorial stone with your name on it in the family grave yard." Deryn closed his eyes for a moment. "For the first few weeks, people covered the graves in flowers and stuff, then it just stopped as if no one cared anymore... That's why the graveyard is so empty, I can't bare it down there and everyone else only put flowers down because they felt sorry."

Kage shook her head several times though with a slight grin of amusement on her expression. "no... Aiden. Just. No." she smiled faintly, shaking her head another time at the image, laughing quietly to herself. She thought a moment and shrugged, "honestly doesn't matter. Well, as long as it isn't some mushy romantic type of genre I don't care."

Only a faint smile appeared on his expression, and it didn't last long either. "How true that is...." He murmured and sighed quietly, messing with one of the ends of his sleeves absently. He gave a small nod, murmuring that he had saw the stone. "I visited whenever I could... It wasn't much but I went when I could." He fell quiet, staring at the ground with a quiet expression. "I was... I don't know if it's the right word but I was terrified when I found about how many had been killed, and only a small handful that survived and don't know if they will even stay a Cross or whatever family they were. It scared me that there was a possibility that everyone that I had loved was dead. Johnathan pulled a face when his voice actually faltered. Normally if he hadn't been speaking from his mind, the voice would have cracked. So instead of a crack it faltered. "Now I'm going to be quite so I don't make even more of a fool of myself."

Deryn frowned at the floor and shook his head a little, "There were originally about twenty or thirty so people that survived, but most of them died or turned into werewolves. I wasn't there though, I was in a coma. I just woke up and everyone was dead." Deryn smiled a little and put his arms around his farther, "You always make a fool of yourself."

"Sorry to break the adorable family moment, but Johnathan, you're bleeding and your back is resting against the bed." Elizabeth was now sat next to Johnathan as if she was secretly a Kane and had just appeared from no where. "Move forwards a bit and let me stitch it up for you. You can borrow one of Deryn's shirts too."

Aiden kissed Kage's cheek and grinned a little. "Alright, no sappy romance story. You have my promise." Aiden gave Kage a quick hug and got to his feet, heading over towards the the tv and setting it up to play a film.

"you seem to have a habit of going into comas, Deryn." Johnathan raised his eyebrows at his son. He knew he had gone into a coma after the raid, he didn't know how long though. He smiled faintly, and chuckled quietly, "that is why I added more. Wait what?" he frowned and gently pulled out of Deryn's arms and attempted to look at his back, though he gave up when he saw the blood in the bed. "oh. Jeese apologies." he scoots forward with another frown.

Kage grinned faintly, "you better not. I'll start... Poking you again." she returned the hug and watched as he moved towards the tv. She scooted forward off the blankets and looked around, "what are we going to use to build the fort?"

"It's only happened twice. The first time I suffered so many injuries that I should have died, and the second time I overused my mind to the point it shut down. I'll try not to do it again, but I make no promises." Deryn chuckled a little and stood, heading over to the door. He came back barely a minute later with a spare change of clothes that he tossed into his father's lap. "Catch."

Elizabeth tore a little at the cut in the shirt so he had enough room to stitch up the wound, and frowned a little as she set about pushing the skin back together and stitching it up. "It's fine, we can easily change the bedding. Where are you staying anyway? Deryn never liked staying in the old Cross chambers that you used to live in, that's why we stay in the guest bedrooms and have the old chambers locked up. You could stay there if you liked."

"All those blankets and pillows." Aiden shrugged, "I think there is a tent somewhere that I suppose we could sit in." He pressed a button on the tv and an action film started to play. "This one okay?"

Johnathan scoffed quietly, "you say it as if its no big deal. One coma is enough." He poked Deryn in the forehead lightly, "you better not do it again." He blinked and just let the clothes land in his lap, staring at them a moment before shaking his head with a faint smile, "you know, catch would be nice to say before you throw anything, especially if its something flaming." He winced only slightly as Elizabeth started stitching up the slash and to distract himself he fully focused on what Elizabeth was saying. "I thought Rachel might have healed it when she got rid of the mark... I dunno." He mumbled, more to himself then anything and fell quiet a moment, frowning at the ground in front of him. He didn't know if he wanted to see the chambers... but at the same time he greatly missed it. He ave a small nod, "I'd at least like to sit in there for a while... don't know if I could sleep or anything but I could sit..."

"Psh. Tents. Psh." Kage waved a dismissive at the tent idea before she gave a faint smile, "not as fun as building a fort." She looked at the blankets and pulled a couple of the fluffiest looking ones out to not be used on this fort and looked at Aiden. She gave a small nod and shrug, "sure, that's fine." She probably wouldn't be fully watching it anyway.

Deryn prodded his father's forehead and shrugged a little, "You better not disappear again." He grinned a little, "And they aren't on fire so what does it matter eh?" He crouched down in front of his father and frowned a little, "Rachel may be an angel, but she can't heal people, she's not a Harrison. I didn't move anything out of the chambers dad... There's still photos of us all, there's everything that we all left behind. You don't have to go in there if you don't want to."

Elizabeth leaned forwards and flicked Deryn's forehead, "Shush, you're upsetting yourself I can see it in your eyes." She returned to stitching up Johnthan's wound.

Aiden kissed Kage's cheek and headed off to grab some popcorn and throw it into a bowl. He dumped the bowl on the floor in front of the television and grabbed a few blankets to start helping Kage make the fort. "Fort building is brilliant, unless Mason makes blueprints and everything for a mega fort mansion."

"I don't want to disappear again so I'll try not to." Johnathan gave a soft chuckle, "It's still nice to say catch before its thrown, flaming or not. And I'm not an angel expert." He fell quiet again, his expression going unreadable before he gave a small shake of his head, "no, I want to go and see." He frowned slightly when Elizabeth flicked Deryn in the forehead and glanced up at his don's expression. "Don't upset yourself now." He murmured and winced as Elizabeth went back to stitching up the wound.

Kage pushed the fluffy blankets she had pulled out just a little further from the pile that had decided to eat her earlier with her foot before she stood up. An amused smile appeared on her expression, "A mega fort would be cool... but with blueprints.... I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing." Picking up a couple blankets, she stared on building this fort.

Deryn smiled faintly and rocked back a little on his heels before sitting down. "Don't upset yourself." He glanced up at Elizabeth as she finished stitching up the wound on Johnathan's back. She wiped it clean and put a pad of gauze over it, then sat next to Deryn grinned a little when she messed his hair up.

Aiden shrugged a little, "It's more of a boring thing. He takes all the fun out of everything." Aiden kissed Kage's cheek and balanced a blanket on her head before puling up a few more blankets to add to the fort.
