Kage blinked, her cheeks reddening slightly. Since they had gone into the shadows her cheeks had lessened in color. Maybe it was part of the heat that made her cheeks redden... She looked at him for a moment as he frowned at the floor and rubbed her cheeks in an attempt to make the faint blush to go away. She followed quietly after Aiden, fiddling absently with the end of the hair he had tucked behind her ear, quietly thinking. Before she realized what she was doing, she went behind Aiden and hugged him; she didn't say anything, she wouldn't know what to say if she wanted to say something, just hugged him from behind.

Johnathan smiled faintly, "do I?" he didn't make any move when Deryn prodded his arm, saying he needed the heirloom. Ignoring the flick on his arm he saw out of the corner of his vision Rachel pull out the syringe. To keep Deryn distracted, he kept his hand in his pocket until Rachel poked him with a needle. Only when she pulled it out did he pull out of his son's mind, though he kept his hand in his pocket with the ring. "Do you deserve the other half?" This he only said to Deryn, his expression unreadable as he looked at his son quietly.

Aiden froze when Kage hugged him from behind, and his cheeks flushed red. It took a few moments before he could relax enough that he could move a little bit. He hesitantly turned slightly when he managed to move, and gently kissed Kage. After a moment he pulled away a little and stroked her cheek, he kept avoiding eye contact sheepishly as hs cheeks went redder.

Deryn frowned at Johnathan, his telepathic voice wavering a little as he tried to use his powers, 'Are you insinuating that I don't deserve it, and that you should keep it?' He rolled over so he was facing away from his dad. 'Fine. You be councilor. Your office is how you left it. I'll go live in America somewhere with Elizabeth. Stop looking at me like that.'

Angela frowned as she watched the nurse working on Lars's legs, "Looks painful." She prodded Lars's arm and yawned tiredly, "Stop glaring blood sucker." Angela frowned and took another spoon of ice cream which she waved around before eating. "I'm bored."

"And I can assure you, it doesn't only looks painful... It IS painful..." he whined and looked away then, "glaring at it seems to be make the pain less painful...." he blinked and shook his head then damping a spoon of ice cream on Angela's head, "Two things. First, this was payback. Second, any idea of what to do? I am bored too...ouch" he winced glaring at the nurses hands once more, "you know, I can still feel them" he muttered returning his attention to the ice-cream then.

Kage couldn't tell if she was surprised or not surprised, probably leaning on the more surprised side though since she stiffened slightly. She relaxed though, her cheeks having reddened more, yes it was apparently actually possible for her, and tentatively returned the kiss. When Aiden pulled away, she exhaled the breath she had been holding without realizing it quietly, and gave a faint sheepish smile. It took her a minute before she could look at him, still smiling faintly and said quietly, "that... you didn't like trip and fall into me that time right...? It was actually meant...?"

Johnathan smiled faintly, a soft chuckle came from him as he took his hands out of his pockets and crossed his arms loosely over his chest. 'I'm just curious. I've been absent too long to take it back even if I wanted it back. I don't want the ring, not really anyway.' He slipped the ring off his finger and dropped it next to Deryn. 'By the way, I think you need that cake, you seem grumpy.'

Aiden nodded when Kage asked if the kiss was actually meant, "yeah, Angela's not hiding in the bush over there." He smiled a little and turned around fully so he could face her, "What about your cheeks? Still from the heat?" He kissed one of her cheeks and then kissed her again.

Deryn tiredly moved back to where he could see Johnathan, 'That's good. I don't think Elizabeth will want to move. Nor do I...' He frowned and after a few attempts to get the stone out of the ring, Elizabeth took both rings from him and sat there quite happily putting the stone back together. Deryn yawned tiredly, 'You'll be grumpy in a moment. Henry is still alive. But he's... Not exactly himself.'

Angela wiped the ice cream from her head, and smeared it down the side of Lars's face. "Firstly, you put ice cream on me again and I will take you to an ice cream factory, chop you up and put you in a tub of the stuff. Secondly, be nice to the nurse, she's healing your legs up for you. She's also about to stick a needle in them, this should be amusing."

"bush? There's a bush here?" Kage glanced around briefly before looking back to Aiden. She gave a small, sheepish smile, glancing down, "no, no its not." If her cheeks could redden anymore, they would have there was no doubt about that, especially when he kissed one of them. She looked back up from where she had glanced down, blinked in surprise but didn't stiffen this time. Instead she returned the kiss, standing just slightly on her tiptoes.

"If you moved it would be a pain in the butt to find you again." Johnathan glanced at Elizabeth with a small, faint smile of amusement from how happy she seemed to put the two stones back together. He looked back to his son, "that's goo- what do you mean?" the relief that his friend was alive was a big one, but it was followed by the sinking weight feeling when Deyn said he wasn't himself.

"I don't know, any leafy green things don't have any of my attention right now." Aiden put his arms around Kage's waist and smiled faintly, resting his forehead against hers. "Even though now I'm ever so slightly glad that Angela pushed us into one another... We're still going to get her back right?" He pulled her closer and kissed her again.

Deryn bit his lip and shook his head, 'No, it's not good. Not at all. I think if he understood what had happened, he'd prefer to be dead.' Deryn waited until Rachel had disappeared through the doorway into Lii again before swinging his legs off the bed. He held onto his dad's arm as he pulled himself up and waited for a moment as he got used to standing up again.

Elizabeth passed him his ring back and frowned at him, "Don't go injuring yourself any more Deryn..." She kissed his cheek and went through the doorway in the middle of the room, following Rachel into Lii.

"We're going to the West wing." Deryn pointed out, pulling his jacket over the white shirt and black jeans that he'd been wearing. One of his arms was in a sling so the jacket was pretty much just balancing on his shoulders. He moved a little slower than he usually would, but over all he was alright, and he easily managed to start walking towards the infirmary doors.

Kage smiled faintly, in return putting her arms around his neck gently. She barely noticed the pressure that could be taken as pain to some on her side where shadows wrapped around the bite marks when Aiden's arms brushed that part of her side. She returned the kiss and gave a small, quiet laugh, "yes, she can't do that without something coming back to her. Though I'm not complaining right now that she did."

The relief was completely gone at the next thing that Deryn said. He fell quiet, supporting Deryn as he used his arm to pull himself up to his feet, wondering what the heck was wrong with Henry that if he understood he would want to be dead... and why he didn't understand it. He glanced at Elizabeth and managed a faint, reassuring smile, "he won't, I'll make sure he doesn't." When he was sure that his son was steady on his feet for the most part he picked up his words and strapped them loosely to his back. He followed after Deryn, giving a small nod. He knew where the West Wing was (though Luna doesn't besides that it's west XD), but he wanted Deryn to lead. When they reached the doors, he opened one up and held it open for Deryn, "why don't you just tell me what's going on?"

Lars rolled his eyes and managed to clean his face, he looked up at her and stuck his tongue out then "Stupid..." he mumbled and widened his eyes, "she is w-what Ah-" he yelped then and whined, "N-no.... I want morphine...." he whined.

Aiden smiled and stroked Kage's cheek, "So... You actually like grumpy people eh?" He was glad that Kage liked him the same way that he liked her, "I'm not actually grumpy am I? Really...?" He kissed Kage's forehead gently and smiled, "I love you."

Deryn stayed close to Johnathan, and kept a light grip on his dad's arm to make sure that he wouldn't fall over. He tripped a few times and stumbled a bit, but managed not to fall over since he was holding onto Johnathan. Deryn frowned a little, "He's not got a soul anymore... He lost it... He might not remember you dad..." Deryn glanced across at Johnathan. "He tried to kill me the first time I spoke with him..."

Angela frowned at Lars, "Stop being a baby..." Angela prodded Lars's arm. "Or I'll put ice cream in your hair." She elbowed Lars's ribs and frowned at the nurse.
