Kage gave a small nod with a small smile as a welcome and then took his hand, pulling herself up to her feet. She stood there for a moment, looking at the ground with her eyes closed to get her balance back. Being light-headed wasn't a very pleasant feeling for her, especially when she was already affected from the heat and sun. "Ok I'm good." She looked up again and then nodded, "yes... painkillers are nice... though I want cookies first."

Johnathan watched a moment, it taking the moment for him to remember that they had been bitten. He gave a small nod, "right... you two are alright from that, right...?" He looked at Elizabeth and gave a small shrug, "maybe, like I said I don't see her. I avoid spell casters for the most part since it always ended badly for me... you're worse? That's... actually quite surprising."

Aiden smiled faintly and waited for Kage to get over her light-headed spell. He gently pulled her hand, leading her in the direction of the part of the academy that had been carved into the cliff face, believing that Kage would prefer to be inside a cooler cave than out in the sunshine. "Cookies will probably be found in a cafeteria."

Elizabeth nodded a little, "I'm fine, a Harrison patched up my arm for me. Deryn still has the bite wound though so his arm's in a sling. But he was given the cure so he's fine too." She grinned a little, "Yes, I'm worse, I'll explain why later." She was too busy watched Deryn open his eyes and try to move around. Elizabeth kissed his cheek gently and smiled, "You awake now honey?"

"Where's the cake?" Deryn mumbled, reaching up to push Elizabeth's hair behind her ear.

Angela dumped a spoonful of ice cream on Lars's head and shrugged a little, "They are kids, the only question they are likely to ask it 'OMG CAN YOU SHOOT LASERS AT ALIENS?!?!'" Angela yawned tiredly, "Get better at lying, it's a brilliant skill..."

Lars rolled his eyes and shook his head managing to get some of the ice cream off his hair, "you're mean..." he mumbled and shrugged, "neh... Lying.. Fine, it can be useful but again I'm not good at it..." he mumbled and got back to eating ice cream, "hum... How do we get back to where we were before?" he asked.

Kage's cheeks reddened a little more when he took her hand and pulled her gently to the caves. Her cheeks had still been red from before and had died down a bit, and thankfully it didn't come back much. She smiled faintly, "I don't care we're cookies are found as long as I can eat them without being poisoned or something."

"Good." Johnathan murmured and then chuckled, "I shall look forward to knowing why you're worse." he looked at Deryn with a small smile as he started to stir. "I love how cake is one of the first things you say." he glanced down at the ground and hooked the straps on his swords, pulling them out from under the bed and grabbed them, leaning them on the chair so he wouldn't forget them there. "I don't know if I should be ok with you requesting cake after waking up from a coma or not. How's your head feeling?"

Aiden frowned a little, "Yeah, it's always a bonus if the food you're eating isn't poisoned." Aiden frowned a little and stopped when they got into the caves in the shadows. "Kage... You're still blushing... Is it that you're embarrassed?"

Deryn grimaced in pain as he got used to his dad talking telepathically. He frowned a little and rubbed his head weakly, "Feels horrible... It hurts..." He attempted to look in his dad's direction but Elizabeth was in the way and he ended up tiredly giving up on that endeavour.

Rachel smiled faintly, "No it's a good thing that he wants food, and if it's Deryn requesting cake then he's alright. Deryn you can have cake in a little while."

"I'm not mean. Leon is mean." She yawned tiredly, "Get good at lying, I'm very good at it. I can convince anyone that I go to class." She took another mouthful of ice cream and shrugged, "My brothers can take us back once your legs have been fixed up."

"Always." She gave a small nod and stopped when he did, looking at him curiously. She barely noticed the fact that being in the shadows already helped with the head ache at the question. "W-What? Me? Embarrassed? Psh, no. I think you're crazy... I'm not blushing. It's, uh, it's the, uh, heat. Yeah, it's the heat not a blush." It was incredibly obvious that she was lying and making it all up, not just the words but her tone and the way she, what could be considered rushed the words.

Johnathan chuckled, "that is true, very true." He stood up, standing there for a second to make sure he wasn't going to fall over or something and then went over to stand next to Rachel. "You should ask him for me if he'd prefer for me to write down what I say." He said this so only Deryn couldn't hear it, and smiled faintly before he closed his eyes a moment and went into Deryn's head. After a moment he eased the pain the best he could from his mind. Even with the energy Rachel had given him, he'd over worked his ability and it was hard to concentrate on easing pain. The most he could manage was to speak, which was a good factor for him.

Aiden held his hands up as if he was surrendering. "Okay, fine. I won't ask?" He bit his lip and and moved away a little, "Calm down. This isn't an interrogation..." He could easily pick up on Kage's voice rushing as if it was a marathon runner.

Rachel repeated the question to Deryn and Deryn shook his head tiredly, "No... Talk to me properly..." He frowned a little when he felt his dad's mind in his head and relaxed a little as his head started to hurt less.

Rachel gently rested her hand on Johnathan's shoulder and let her energy flow into him again. "Johnathan, don't overuse your powers, it will not help the situation."

Kage smiled sheepishly, looking down and rubbing the back of her neck, stopping shortly after that with a wince as she brushed the gash. "Heh, sorry." She said in a sheepish mumble, looking at the ground for another moment before looking back up and around. "O cookies, cookies, wherefore art thou cookies?"

"I cannot talk properly for I have no voice." Johnathan smiled faintly and glanced sideways at Rachel, "Then give him something for his head." He twisted the ring on his finger absently that had half the Cross heirloom on it before he slipped his hands into the pockets of his jeans. He didn't' pull from his son's mind, though he didn't try any harder to ease the pain, knowing what Rachel said was right but not wanting to admit it aloud.

Aiden reached forwards to tuck some of Kage's hair back behind her ear and frowned a little, "Right... Back to the search for cookies." He frowned at the floor as if it yielded some great secret, and picked a random tunnel to head down.

Deryn mumbled under his breath, "You know what I meant..." He managed to sit up with a little help from Elizabeth, who sat down next to him and rested her head on his shoulder. Deryn frowned a little at his dad and held out his hand, "I'm gonna need the other half of the heirloom dad." He gently prodded his dad's arm.

Rachel flicked Johnathan's arm when he started telling her what to do, and took a syringe from her pocket. The contents of the needle went into the vein behind Deryn's ear when he was occupied with trying to get the heirloom from his dad and Deryn ended up whining like a child until he realized that the pain had disappeared and his head didn't hurt any more.

"No... Leon is something beyond mean.." he mumbled and sighed softly, "fine fine.. I'll learn how to do so then..." he said and then nodded again, "okie.." he mumbled and ate other spoon full of ice cream. He looked at the bowl then slowly eating the ice cream and almost jumped up when the nurse came back and he hadn't seen it, he bit his lip glaring a little at her hands as she started working up on his legs.
