Hearing more, seeing more, is that really living more?
Damien shrugged, "The council is an amusing waste of time, if they didn't keep so many secrets from Demon hunters then they would find that they wouldn't be blackmailed. Anyway, the old council had free reign over everything they did, and they acted like they were above the law. There was an academy a while ago, it blew up twelve years ago, it was reported to demon hunters that demons had blown it up - nope, the council authorized it to be blown up because they were trying to catch Trinity and she'd just killed the head teacher. They blew the whole school up, killing more people than Trinity ever did and then blamed it on Trinity. So, treating the new council like elves and blackmailing them, means that they don't abuse their power and start doing stuff that they really shouldn't."
He chuckled a little as Caia explained that she needed to be able to live longer so she could eat everything in the world, "You could just stay in Lii, the angels copied their favorite parts of the human world. As long as you steer clear from fae food you'd be fine... This isn't heaven, that's reserved for those who've died. If you want to know about heaven, ask Angela or Castanet. This is Lii, sort of a place in between worlds. We're in between the Otherworld and Earth and Lii keeps them apart."

Should we live to expectations - Or fight to break them?
The key clattered to the floor when Esme had disappeared, and Trinity crouched down to scoop it up. Esme was actively telling her to go to the demon cafe? Trinity was quite surprised at that, and wondered why. Either Esme was finally beginning to trust her and let her in on some of the families secrets that she knew as little about as someone from the other families did, or she was divulging the new location of
the book. Trinity doubted Esme would let the book within a mile of the Demon Cafe and it's reputation, so she decided it must be something else like picking up dry cleaning. She slipped the key into a pocket that had been very cleverly stitched to the inside of her boot and then continued along the corridor. She would have gone back to the party then, but she couldn't be bothered. Deep down she knew it was childish,

When life is laid out before you, fight to break free.
Castanet raised her eyebrows slightly when Griffon made a comment about not needing more demons to deal with. "Councilor Wings, if you'd kindly refrain from using a sterotype against my species I'd be rather grateful. Humans can be as bad as demons if they so wish to be, and they are in no way better than a demon." She smacked him around the head, not very hard, but enough to make a point. If another Wings member showed up and hit her back she'd decided she was going to turn them into toads. "So don't dare talk to a demon about 'dealing with' demons when they know it entails a hunter killing any demon they find, including young children sleeping in their beds." She calmed herself after that, reigning in the hissing and the fangs that always seemed to come out when she was angry.
