Should we live to expectations - Or fight to break them?
Destruction, death and horror!
Trinity braced herself as Cordell started asking about bowling, already anticipating what he was going to do. She scowled when told to shut up and she checked her watch when asked where Caia's shadow was. "She should have one by now. So it can only be assumed that Arren stopped her from getting one." She didn't say any more on that, since she teleported and disappeared. Up ahead where the stone circle was, Trinity was already working on getting it to open, which was quite hard with only one hand free. She checked the wound on her stomach, and pulled a face at the red and black blood spilling from the wound. She'd already begun to feel light headed so putting down the shirt while she used both hands was probably a bad idea since the wound was still pretending to be Niagra Falls.
Slipping her hand into her pocket she pulled out her phone and called Deryn, "Get Durendel to open the portal Deryn." The Cross councilor said something about 'so you're back then' but she hung up the phone and sent out a text to her brother and then another to Castanet before slipping the phone back into her pocket. Glancing over her shoulder as the car came into view she returned her attention to the portal that was beginning to open. Trinity teleported again, this time teleporting Caia out of the car to the edge of the portal (since it's not possible to teleport between worlds). Trinity then steered Caia by her shoulders out of the Otherworld, wincing as her shadow rejoined with her, before proclaiming to Amos and Deryn; "Oh she tried to kill me, and I think she's lost her sanity."
Deryn just raised his eyebrows, "I think you lost your sanity too. You're going to fall unconsious."
"I have a headache. I'm allowed to loose my sanity... I know." Trinity refused to fall unconsious right that second however, because she wasn't willingly accepting a ride from Durrendel ever again and she was planning on teleporting everyone off to the infirmary.

Hearing more, seeing more, is that really living more?
By that sin fell the angels.
Damien raised his eyebrows. "Right... How can they be wrong when I check all the student files against the files on the council's system?" He passed her the tape and made his way over to the desk, pulling out the bottom drawer and passing her a laptop so she could watch the tape on it. He almost dropped the laptop and winced slightly, pressing a hand to the side of his head as it cleared again. "They're back from the Otherworld."

When life is laid out before you, fight to break free.
Castanet caught herself on one of the trees as she bacame solid once again. "No. I definitely prefer cars..." She doubled over slightly as the nausea subsided. "Cars and helicopters. The occasional teleport from Trinity when there's trouble but that's it..." She dropped down next to Charna, resting her hands on the floor to support her weight as she watched the kids. "Hikaru looks moody. I think Angela just shoved him hard in the side..." With a slight yawn the druid stretched as if she was tired. "What's up with your neck?"

Stab me in the back metaphorically, I'll return the favor literally.
A bullet to the heart is no way to live.
The pair relaxed a little once Kage had started calling the panther a dumb furball. The pair frowned and raised their eyebrows though, asking almost in unison, "And why exactly is he here?"
Angela folded her arms, slipping the gun into her pocket and mumbled an apology at the panther - though feeling incredibly stupid when she did so because she was talking to shadows. Aiden frowned slightly at the appearence of the panther, thinking pretty much along the same lines as Angela - why was the panther here and what was it up to. Also, where was Councilor Pearce since it was impossible to control shadows over a large distance and the councilor must have been 'connected' to the panther.
Angela came up with the answer however, since she could sense Castanet's magic in the tree line - or rather the marks keeping her alive could sense the magic. She didn't show any knowledge of this however, assuming there was a reason that the half-snake half-druid and the Councilor were keeping hidden for a reason.
