((Sorry, I went poof because of some freak power outage. XP))

.* Caia Grey *.

At the mention of her grandfather, Caia shook her head slowly at first, and then more frantic. "No! I don't want to see him! He's angry, too. He'll yell again! He--" Caia yelped as the car galvanized into action, unprepared for such a burst of speed, and fell against the back of the seat in front of her. Gasping, her head swimming, she doubled over and wrapped her hands around the top of her head. "His voice hurts." she winced, her body tensing up. "Your voices hurt. If I just get rid of you, it can all go away. Everyone will just go away." But she couldn't kill any of them. Her hallucinations would continue until she did, or so she believed, and they were currently heightening her senses. The pain was pounding, stabbing, and any other form of pain she could think of. She could feel herself blacking out, but she forced herself to stay awake. "It hurts..." She suddenly swore loudly as they went over another 'bump'. "It HURTS!"

Oh, why wouldn't they let her kill them? Caia kept asking herself this question, yet she was also vaguely, very vaguely, aware under the fear and the pain that their was a small sense of relief. Some tiny, barely living sane part of mind pushing up the thought that if this was real, she was avoiding some huge mistake. Caia couldn't tell the difference between reality and illusion. Killing the real Trinity, Caia would have regretted for the rest of her life... but it just hurt so much! As another wave of pain shot through her body, the thought and feeling was swept away.

.* I want to protect, so I will dirty my hands for you *.

Hearing more, seeing more, is that really living more?
By that sin fell the angels.

Damien had only taken about thirty seconds to talk to the angels, and had taken the next two minutes and thirty seconds to send and recive a few texts to Rachel - the angel supposed to be supervising the three lunatics feeding the dragon. She explained that she'd only gone to get coffee and was now pretty amazed at the trouble the trio could cause in such a short space of time. Damien flipped his phone shut once three minutes were up and walked back into the office.

He frowned pulled a book off the shelf next to the door again, wondering where he'd left the last one, though he'd thankfully had the foresight to put spells on the books to make them return to their shelves after an hour. He had grown bored of hunting for them around school when he put them down somewhere and forgot about them. "I'm guessing you're not telling me why you wanted to look in her file?"

Destruction, death and horror!

Solitude had clambered into the back of the car as Trinity had climbed into the front. The assassin looked like an explosion in an ink factory. Whatever Cordell's shadow was doing, didn't seem good, and they both held tight to the handles so cleverly attached to the roof of cars (actually this was specifically a demon hunter interference. A Cross councilor about ten years ago had used mind control to convince the big car brands to put the handles into cars. Useful for demon hunters and overlooked by humans.). It was a good plan to hold onto the handles since they went rocketing forwards as Cordell rumaged through the glove compartment to destroy the car.

Trinity took the shirt gratefully and bundled it up to press against her wound. The thanks had barely left her mouth before Solitude was commenting about how Cordell was now shirtless. There were a few other comments too, though most were in demonic to wind Trinity up until the point where Trinity hit her own stomach and smiled at the satisfying yelp of pain from Solitude. "Yeah I can open the portal. I'm not dead." She seemed to have gone past the phase of feeling upset that her friend seriously hated her to the point of attempted murder and was now just speaking monotonusly, acting like she wanted to kill herself before Caia got the chance, and staring out of the window.

Solitude disappeared after a short while, and Trinity blinked as her eyes became mismatched red and green. Trinity seemed to be ignoring anything that came out of Caia's mouth, writing it off that her friend had lost her sanity. "You know what else hurts? Someone stabbing you in the stomach. Stop screaming."

~Kage Pearce, Hikaru, & Cole Thorn~
Kage looked at the panther, whose face was lowered inches from her, with narrowed eyes. She was aware of Aiden and Angela pointing guns at the panther, but she didn't take her gaze off of the panther. She had moved her whip from her belt into her hand with shadows, and her eyes widened as Hikaru started speaking silently to her through the shadows, saying who he was. A yowl of surprise left him as Angela suddenly tackled him off of Kage. Hikaru rolled over and jumped up, batted Angela with his paws, claws sheathed, before disapearing and reforming a couple meters away, tail lashing side to side. Kage sat up, stared at Hikaru for a moment before looking at Angela and Aiden, "It's fine, no more pointing guns." Her voice came out as a mumur, still a mix of surprise and shock at the sight of Hikaru.
Kage stood, brushing sand from herself and walked over to Hikaru, who was whining about Angela hurting his side. "Well that's what you get for just appearing and tackling me, dumb furball." Kage plopped down in front of the panther, bopping him lightly on the head before wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him. The faintest smile appeared on her expression as Hikaru made a soft purring sound before she pulled away and looked over at Aiden and Angela. "Sorry about that. This is Hikaru, he's Councilor Pearce's shadow panther." She stood, and walked back over to her friends before sitting back down again. Hikaru was next to her, and kept eyeing Angela, the tip of his tail twitching. "He has a tendency to tackle people..." She then grinned, "thanks for pointing guns at him though."
Cole was surprsied at the panther's appearence, and was even more surprised at imself for his hand going immediatly to the shortsword at his side. He frowned just slightly as he heard Kage mention that the panther was Councilor Pearce's shadow. His eyes flitted towards the forest. He knew that the Councilor rarely allowed Hikaru to go far, and if she did, she would usually follow shortly after. His hand slowly left his side, his gaze returning to the kids as Kage came back to join them with the panther.

~Councilor Charna Pearce~
Charna gave a half shrug, "His fault for scaring them and getting a sword through him without telling Kage he's coming and not to do that." She gave a small dip of her head to Adelaide, giving a faint smile, "Thank you." Shadows moved around both her and Castanet, turning themselves into shadows, and she moved them quickly out of the room and down into the arena. They got the the beach quicker then Charna thought she would be able to managed and reformed themselves just inside the treeline to be hidden from sight of the students, but still be able to see them. "Oh. Hey. Um, shadow traveling..." She chuckled softly, glancing at Castanet before plopping down onto the ground and rubbing her neck, wincing just slightly as she watched the students.

Destruction, death and horror!

Trinity braced herself as Cordell started asking about bowling, already anticipating what he was going to do. She scowled when told to shut up and she checked her watch when asked where Caia's shadow was. "She should have one by now. So it can only be assumed that Arren stopped her from getting one." She didn't say any more on that, since she teleported and disappeared. Up ahead where the stone circle was, Trinity was already working on getting it to open, which was quite hard with only one hand free. She checked the wound on her stomach, and pulled a face at the red and black blood spilling from the wound. She'd already begun to feel light headed so putting down the shirt while she used both hands was probably a bad idea since the wound was still pretending to be Niagra Falls.

Slipping her hand into her pocket she pulled out her phone and called Deryn, "Get Durendel to open the portal Deryn." The Cross councilor said something about 'so you're back then' but she hung up the phone and sent out a text to her brother and then another to Castanet before slipping the phone back into her pocket. Glancing over her shoulder as the car came into view she returned her attention to the portal that was beginning to open. Trinity teleported again, this time teleporting Caia out of the car to the edge of the portal (since it's not possible to teleport between worlds). Trinity then steered Caia by her shoulders out of the Otherworld, wincing as her shadow rejoined with her, before proclaiming to Amos and Deryn; "Oh she tried to kill me, and I think she's lost her sanity."

Deryn just raised his eyebrows, "I think you lost your sanity too. You're going to fall unconsious."

"I have a headache. I'm allowed to loose my sanity... I know." Trinity refused to fall unconsious right that second however, because she wasn't willingly accepting a ride from Durrendel ever again and she was planning on teleporting everyone off to the infirmary.

By that sin fell the angels.

Damien raised his eyebrows. "Right... How can they be wrong when I check all the student files against the files on the council's system?" He passed her the tape and made his way over to the desk, pulling out the bottom drawer and passing her a laptop so she could watch the tape on it. He almost dropped the laptop and winced slightly, pressing a hand to the side of his head as it cleared again. "They're back from the Otherworld."

When life is laid out before you, fight to break free.

Castanet caught herself on one of the trees as she bacame solid once again. "No. I definitely prefer cars..." She doubled over slightly as the nausea subsided. "Cars and helicopters. The occasional teleport from Trinity when there's trouble but that's it..." She dropped down next to Charna, resting her hands on the floor to support her weight as she watched the kids. "Hikaru looks moody. I think Angela just shoved him hard in the side..." With a slight yawn the druid stretched as if she was tired. "What's up with your neck?"

A bullet to the heart is no way to live.

The pair relaxed a little once Kage had started calling the panther a dumb furball. The pair frowned and raised their eyebrows though, asking almost in unison, "And why exactly is he here?"

Angela folded her arms, slipping the gun into her pocket and mumbled an apology at the panther - though feeling incredibly stupid when she did so because she was talking to shadows. Aiden frowned slightly at the appearence of the panther, thinking pretty much along the same lines as Angela - why was the panther here and what was it up to. Also, where was Councilor Pearce since it was impossible to control shadows over a large distance and the councilor must have been 'connected' to the panther.

Angela came up with the answer however, since she could sense Castanet's magic in the tree line - or rather the marks keeping her alive could sense the magic. She didn't show any knowledge of this however, assuming there was a reason that the half-snake half-druid and the Councilor were keeping hidden for a reason.

~Councilor Charna Pearce~
Charna chuckled quietly, "As do I, but that was the quickest way to get here." Though not the smartest, she added in her head, and smirked at the comment of Hikaru being moody. "He's moody all the time." She blinked in surprise at the question, and let her hand fall into her lap, "Err nothing." She mumbled hastily, and sent something slight to Hikaru, which she got back an annoyed 'I know.'

~Kage Pearce, Hikaru, & Cole Thorn~
Kage gave the faintest smile, "He was going to tell me until he got tackled by you Angela." She glanced down at Hikaru when he layed down, sprawled out on his side and noticed him watching Cole with narrowed eyes. Hikaru flicked his ear in reply to Angela as he caught her mumbled apology and huffed quietly, sitting back up. He layed his head lightly on Kage's shoulder, and told her what Charna and Castanet said they could do. Kage's eyes narrowed just slightly as Hikaru lifted his head and flopped onto his side. Kage scooted over to Angela, turning her head so Cole couldn't see her face as she spoke quietly, "Castanet and Councilor Pearce gave us permission now to attack and kill Cole. You should tell your brother who Cole actually is too so it doesn't look like we are randomly attacking him." She paused, and added, "I don't know about you, but I want him dead." She pulled away, looking over at Cole, not bothering to hide her glare now.
Cole watched them, frowning as Kage started talking to Angela in whispers. His eyes narrowed as he heard clearly of what they were talking about, his hand going back to his shortsword and gripping the hilt. His expression returned to normal as Kage looked over at him with a glare, and instead pulling a confused look.

.* Caia Grey & Amos Grey *.

Amos straightened when Deryn said “so you’re back” into the phone. Who was back, exactly? Amos would have asked if it was Trinity, and if it was Trinity how her cell phone could have signal in the Otherworld, but Durendel opened portal before he could. That was enough of an answer as any. He got to his feet as quickly as he could and ran forward as Caia was pushed through the portal, closely followed by Trinity. He noted, with concern, that Trinity was bleeding profusely (apparently at the fault of Caia), but most of his worries were directed at his granddaughter, who appeared to be bleeding from her head and in quite a bit of pain. She had crumpled to the ground, sitting on her knees and leaning forward, as soon as she came through the portal. She was mumbling to herself, occasionally crying out at random points, holding her head like she was trying to keep it from exploding.

“Caia?” Amos knelt beside his granddaughter, putting a hand on her shoulder, which she immediately shrugged off, saying how it hurt. Then she went back to mumbling, and Amos listened closely to try hearing what she was saying. All he was catching was that she wanted something to stop. “Caia, look at me.” No response. “Come on, look. It’s me. You’re safe.”

Within her haze, Caia recognized the voice talking to her, realizing that it wasn’t Trinity this time. She looked up hesitantly, narrowing her eyes as the world moved in all sorts of directions. “Grand…father…?” She was a little confused. Caia was pretty sure that was who she was looking at, but his face was a bit of a blur. Besides, Trinity came to kill her. Cordell did too, and those other two strangers, whoever they were. If her grandfather was here, did that mean he wanted to kill her, too? No, the druid only said Trinity… why did she listen to him again? He wasn’t around any more, and she was okay with that. Right… to stop hallucinations from killing her. She didn’t quite want to die yet, though her head was too muddled to come up with a decent reason why besides that she didn’t want to. Was this hallucination? She couldn’t tell. “Do you want to kill me too…?”

“What?” Amos searched her face in surprise. She certainly did not seem like herself. “Of course not1 Why would you think that?”

“But you were so angry…”

As Caia winced and groaned in pain, doubling over again, Amos looked up at Trinity, distressed to see his granddaughter in this state. “What happened to her? Why is she like this?”

Damien nodded when asked if he wanted to go to see his sister - he did worry about her, even if the pair of them prefered to play practical jokes on each other rather than actually seem to be a family. As the pain in his head finally let up, he took his hand away from his head and slipped his hands in his pockets as his phone went off. He flipped the thing open and read the text, "According to Trinity, Caia has lost her sanity, tried to kill her, has a hole the size of Africa in the back of her head, and keeps repeating herself..." He looked over at Esme, wondering if she was going to teleport them, or expecting him to suddenly magic his way to the summoning circle so she could snoop around - she could if she liked since everything he wasn't supposed to have in there had been removed. "Any ideas? Oh and Seryn sent me a text too saying Trinity's sulking because she has a rather deep wound across her stomach."

Trinity watched quietly as Caia started asking if Amos was going to kill her, and then at Amos as he asked her what was going on. She had no clue, and couldn't understand why she was being asked for answer she didn't have. "She was like this when we got there... I don't know what happened..."

She looked up as she heard, first the car explode, and then Cordell shout out as he stepped out of the portal. She watched quietly as all his demonic marks disappeared, and Durendel closed the portal, shutting off the demonic Otherworld. Trinity closed her eyes slightly as she concentrated, and soon she teleported all the occupants of the island off to Horia's infirmary (mainly because she hated the council nurses to the point she wanted to kill them, but could deal with simply threatening the nurses at Horia. She couldn't teleport the dragons however since they were just a little too big to fit in the infirmary anyway. Because of the distance it took a short while to get everyone to appear unharmed (or more harmed than they already were), she appeared first with Deryn following shortly afterwards and he grabbed her arm to hold her up. She got Cordell and Griffon to appear after that since they were likely going to cause less trouble than Caia and Amos who were teleported last.

Castanet frowned at the councilor, "You're lying, what's up with your neck?" She was distracted by her phone and pulled it out, showing Charna the text from Trinity explaining the symptoms Caia seemed to be suffering. "I believe it's hallucinagenic gas that my idiot of a cousin had a hand in the creation of, have you got anything that might help with it in your magic bag of vials?"

Angela nodded once she'd understood what Kage was saying, and freed her sword from it's sheath. "Hey Aiden. Cole's a vampire." She moved much faster than a human being right then, it was almost as if she were as fast as a vampire - which her brother noted was useful in this situation.

Angela stopped her amazingly fast running in front of Cole, sending her sword in an arch through the air as she attempted to slice across the vampire's chest.

Aiden had to admit he was perhaps a little shocked that his sister was attempting to kill someone right in front of him, but apparently this person was a vampire so he just went along with it, conjuring up a crossbow.

.* Caia Grey & Amos Grey *.

That was it. Caia already didn’t like teleportation when she was sane and not hallucinating pain. Nausea was really the only thing she was missing, but sudden teleportation twice in less than a minute brought it on, and combined with everything else was too much. Amos would say her mind couldn’t handle it all, but it was obvious that her mind was far beyond handling anything. Caia was out like a candle dumped in water.

Amos caught her before she could drop and hit her head on the ground, since he didn’t have any qualms being teleported and therefore was unaffected, and gently dragged her to the nearest bed. Used to Trinity’s sudden appearances, the Horia nurses sprang into action. Amos backed off, letting the nurses take over moving Caia and taking care of her. In order not to get in the way, he sat heavily in a chair in a corner, rubbing his eyes in sudden weariness. It seemed like nearly everything he was worrying about came true, and it exhausted his soul.
