.* Amos Grey & Li Mei London *.

Li Mei looked down at Deryn and raised an eyebrow. "Some of us have important things to do." She would have to swim back. Curtana was too busy talking with Durendel. Dragons apparently get so little of other dragon company. Li Mei turned and strode down to the shore.

"Don't forget about my food!" Li Mei glanced back at Amos and rolled her eyes. The old man seriously expected her to bring him his meals. Without replying, Li Mei waded into the water, turned back into an octopus, and swam away. Amos shrugged and turned around again, continuing to wait for his granddaughter's return.

.* Hakan Lure & Caia Grey *.

"If logic irritates you," Hakan replied, following Arren closely, "then I would have to agree that I am more irritating than Trinity Kane." Or, he added silently, you simply lack common sense. Which he truly believed Arren did, so it was more of a truth than educated guess.

Caia was drowsy, was pretty sure she had a migraine, and ached from being shoved around by lizardmen the entire day. And killing them, but killing them was a positive spin in an otherwise negative situation, so she refused to blame her aching on that. Anyway, to keep it simple, she did not feel well. Of course, she had never really been a prisoner in the Otherworld before. Suddenly Caia could relate to Cordell and Trinity's distaste of the place. She really didn't like it, from its red sand to discolored suns. Earth had plenty more to look at... not that the prisons weren't a figure of delight. Oh no, they were lovely with the bloodstained walls and floors and... well everything. Quite bloody. Demon blood mostly, but she couldn't help but notice a lot of red blood in this particular cell. Caia could feel her mood drop just by sitting in the room, which must have been part of the reason she was thrown into this one. Oh, being a prisoner was loads of fun. She couldn't wait to see how long her sanity would last, or how long she would actually last.

Caia wasn't doing much until Arren and Hakan came along, just hitting the back of her head against the wall as she sat in dried blood. When she noticed the two demons she stopped, tilting her head to the side. "There you are. You never gave me a chance to compliment you on your prison." She spread out her arms. "I love what you've done with the place." No, headaches and drowsiness did not make her the most complacent person. Hakan was thinking more along the lines of intelligence. Unless she was a complete idiot, there was no way she didn't know the consequences of her insubordination.

Power is the downfall of those too weak to resist.

"No..." Arren mumbled, "the hunter is definitely more irritating than you." He looked over at Caia with a distaste on the same level as one he would give to his half-reptile cousin. He waited for her to finish being sarcastic about the surroundings before unlocking the cell door and making his way over to stand in front of the ridiculous hunter. He didn't bother to lock the door since a quick shot of concentrated energy would knock her out again, and Hakan was at the door anyway. The air around Arren suddenly seemed to be buzzing with energy, and he tilted his head to the side as he thought of the best way to get the information they were after.

"Two questions to start off with. Firstly, why isn't your watch reappearing, and secondly what does Trinity Kane value the most." He didn't really care about the second question's answer, but it was likely that Hakan was going to need some incentive to stay and he seemed to be obsessed with the Kane hunter. "If you don't answer, I'll let Hakan mess with your emotions and I'll send another shock of electricity through you." He just felt like he needed to point it out.

.* Caia Grey *.

Caia sighed heavily. "Your threats are getting very repetitive, they're losing their threatening aspect. You should try being a little more creative." She glanced briefly at Hakan, and even though she could see no increase in interest she found it hard to believe he wasn't listening keenly for news on Trinity. Looking back at Arren, Caia shrugged. "But I'll answer both your questions anyway." She held up a finger. "First, I don't know. I just got the thing. Second..." she paused, looking thoughtfully up at the druid. "I think she'd really like it if your head was delivered to her room. She'd probably freeze it and treasure it for a long time." Again, Caia shrugged. "But who knows. She might get tired looking at you all the time."

Power is the downfall of those too weak to resist.

Grumbling at how much he just wanted to reach forward and rip Caia's head off, Arren glared over at Hakan for just being useless and standing by the door. Energy crackled through the electrified air for a few seconds before he directed some of the shots of electricity towards Caia, making the intensity of it going from bearable to unbearable slowly and annoyingly. "Hakan," He grumbled as he let his magic irritate Caia for a while, "Can't you just break her will with your powers over emotions or are you just useless?" Arren firmly believed that it was the second option.

.* Hakan Lure & Caia Grey *.

Caia gritted her teeth in order not to give Arren the satisfaction of a scream, but the slow progression was still as painful as it had sounded. And just as nasty as last time. It threatened to shut down her brain, and it felt like her heart would burst as Hakan walked towards her. "Lazy... demon."

Hakan shook his head as he came in the room. "You are the one in need of information. Are you so incapable that you cannot get it yourself?" Nevertheless, the glowing orb rolled in his palm. "Anything specific you want to know? My interrogation would be more efficient with a purpose in mind."

Arren didn't reply to Caia, instead just intensifying the power once again. It would amuse him to hear her scream, since this hunter was just stuborn and he hated it. "No. Yet you have powers over emotions. It's emotions that are giving her hope and making her irritating. Can't you simply rip away those emotions and replace them with utter helplessness? Or... I could fry her insides... Look I bought you back from the dead for the sole purpose of-" He frowned at Caia, letting the electricity die down before tapping into the necromancy that he'd used to bring Hakan back.

To anyone except Caia it was as if the room had simply gotten colder. Yet Arren knew Caia was seeing a group of ghosts he'd pulled out of the Afterlife. Well, it was the traces of ghosts, renacting dying over and over. Of course he'd made sure they were all Grey hunters and that they'd died in the arctic. "So hunter are you going to be cooperative?" He made sure his voice cut through the screams of the ghosts. Ghosts were just irritating when they were screaming.

.: Lars Ulrich :.

Lars blinked and looked at Yami as she said 'anything demoniac' "You think I could possibly pass?" he asked in fact relieved they had reached the river, he was seriously on the edge of passing out but managed to keep himself walking rather slowly and taking deep breaths, he glanced down at the snakes, "I wonder if we're far...." he said and sort of swayed almost falling down. He stopped, "enough..." he muttered and let his bag fall to the ground after he took he orb out, he placed the sword on his back again, "the bag is too heavy" he muttered and resumed his walking feeling a bit less tired.

"My happiness starts at their death."

:.Alexander Emory.:

Alexander limited himself to looking at the teachers for a moment before turning his attention the monitors again for a moment.

"Happiness...doesn't exists. What exists is something called insanity"

.* Hakan Lure & Caia Grey *.

Caia was too young to remember most of that particular tragedy, and what she did remember was nothing good. She wasn’t actually present for the battle; she was only four years old, and therefore stayed behind with the rest of the children and disabled. She could remember some scenes afterwards like the procession of corpses returning from the battlefield, her father carrying back her mother with her grandfather limping beside him, all three dyed in red and black blood much like this prison. There was a ceremony, where they froze the bodies of the dead and weighed them down, dropping them in the ocean since it was impossible to bury them in the frozen wasteland. Caia didn’t remember much of that either. She was tired, only four years old and trying to stay awake in her grandfather’s arms. She didn’t understand yet what was happening, and didn’t until her father told her a few days later that her mother was never coming back, so stop asking.

Her eyes were closed when Arren called the ghosts, fighting back her screams with groans as electricity racked her body. It was painful, mind-numbing in fact, and so when it lessened and stopped, Caia was curious why? He couldn’t be giving up, unless he was handing reigns over to Hakan now. Whatever he was doing, she didn’t want to be caught unawares, so as soon as she was able, she opened her eyes again.

Hakan watched the ghosts with mild interest, realizing where they came from and what parts of their lives they were reenacting. Smart of the druid, he had to admit, to use a family trauma against the hunter. Humans were easily affected by death. However, he recalled the information implied the incident was approximately twenty years ago, written down as a failure and victory in the records. He wondered if this would really have much of an impact on the hunter, since she must have been extremely young at the time of its actual occurrence. He wasn’t kept waiting for the answer, as when Caia opened his eyes he felt a wave of surprise followed closely by anguish when, he assumed, she too realized what was before her. He also noticed she her eyes flickering from ghost to ghost as though she was looking for something. What she was looking for, he could easily guess. “An effective method.” He stated simply to Arren. “You are causing her a great deal of distress.”

Caia didn’t know a lot of these people personally, nor did she know anything about them. But she recognized a lot of faces from photos and video clips. It only took a few seconds to realize what was happening, and she could tell by the number of ghosts that it wasn’t all the Greys. A lot had died that day, more than what this cell could hope to fit. Slowly, Caia struggled to sit up a little more against the wall, her eyes searching each of the faces, her mouth twitching every time one of them died. She wasn’t present at the battle. She didn’t see the carnage, and her grandfather refused to describe any of it to her. She didn’t even know how her mother died. Witnessing the dying moments, even if it was a replay and everyone was already dead, stabbed at her heart. She could feel herself wanting to do something to prevent it all, but it was a scene of the past. She couldn’t do anything at all.

“Cooperate?” Still suffering from the electrical shocks, Caia paused to breathe every so often as she spoke. “Why should I? You think ghosts can subjugate me? Force me to obey your demands?” Caia, trying to hide the distress Hakan so blatantly pointed out, laughed. “You’ve got to be kidding me. The answer is still no.”

Power is the downfall of those too weak to resist.

Everyone had to have a breaking point, perhaps it was a breaking point burried deep down, but it was one nonetheless. He was pretty sure even the emotionless rock behind him had a breaking point... He probably wouldn't have guessed that Caia was under any distress at all if it hadn't been pointed out for him (because Arren is pretty much an idiot when it comes down to it). But nonetheless, it didn't seem that the ghosts were having much effect on Caia at all.

However, she was supposedly in distress... Supposedly... It was just the matter of amplifying it through whatever means possible. The stupid druid thought about the problem logically for once (Wow is he capable of that?), before finally coming up with a solution. People tended to get distressed over things that they had no control over, things that were uncontrolable and destructive, things that couldn't really fit in a prison cell - unless he got a pack of wolves but there's be nothing of the hunter left to interrogate. Whatever method he chose would have to bring her to the edge of loosing her sanity, where she'd still be aware of pain and knew that all she had to do was give up information so she could stop said pain.

So he turned around, pushed Hakan over to and out of the cell door, stepped out of it and locked it behind him. When out of the corridor, and making sure Hakan was out of there too, Arren typed something into the control pannel next to the door and a shutter dropped down to seal off the corridor that Caia was trapped in. He shouted something in demonic at the guard who questioned what he was doing and the guard hurried off to get something, bringing back a canister that fit over the ventilation pipe. Arren looked through the window to check it was working and watched as purpley clouds of gas began to billow up inside the room. "Hallucination gas." He explained to Hakan with a bored tone. "Give it three minutes."

((Jeese I feel all scary... Did that really come from my mind? o.o I'm going to go read about happy things knock some happiness back into my mind...))

~Kage Pearce & Cole Thorn~
Kage blinked at teh mention of Castanet and looked to the girl Jackson had said was Jayne. She gave the girl a small nod before looking back to Jackson. She felt the heat drop quickly, and waited as Jackson and Jayne caught their breath again. "If Castanet sent you, I'm guessing you have one of those weird orb things too?"
Cole frowned inwardly, Kage confirming that the orb that had been in the water was found by her when they had been saving Fenrir. He stayed were he was, silent, his blue eyes studying the newcomers. When the heat had dropped after Kage told them not to come near if they were the one producing it, he guessed one of them was a fire Emory member, most likely the one named Jackson since Kage had directly spoke to him creating it. As he watched them, he debated whether or not he should take the orbs before they can take the forcefield down.

~Councilor Charna Pearce & Hikaru~
Hikaru rummbled again, amused, "She seemed also entertained when I dragged Charna across the floor." He dipped his head again to Damien, "It is very nice aswell though to be speaking in one's native language." He lifted his head again, and as Damien put the tracker machine on mute, he put his ears back up, listening to them talk. He went and sat back down next to Alex, nudging the boy gently with a paw, and noticed that the potion Charna had given the boy was already dropping his fever, killing whatever infection had set in. He curled his tail around his paws, looking at the monitors briefly before looking between the adults.
Charna had gone and sat back down in a chair, scooting up to one of the desks and typing something in. "Well, the students with the orbs are almost all together, Lars will be joining them in a minute." She turned in the chair to look Castanet, "I'm hoping you know where the place is to put the orbs?"

~Yami Nesmrten~
Yami gave a small shake of her head, "I know for a fact you can't. You have to be of demonic blood, pure demonic, and you just have a curse mark. If anything demonic could pass through, Castanet would already be through, along with your other demon allies you managed to get." She watched him as Lars let his bag fall to the ground, holding the orb. She debated whether or not she should take his bag. In the end, she just followed him, leaving the bag. The boy had made a smart choice in just leaving it since he was having trouble breathing. She heard soon, the sound of an ocean, and as the sound grew louder and through the treeline, they could see the beach, she also spotted the group of kids. She frowned slightly, regonizing the girl her brother had killed. "Hmm... well I'll disapear from sight now. I doubt she wants to see me." She muttered under her breath before disapearing.

What would you do to survive? If killing was the only option to live in the world falling apart, filled with infected. To get food, weapons, gear, anything and everything, your hands would be left unclean. What would you do?
