Ever since Amos had switched snow for sun, which happened around about the same time Deryn swapped hospitals for sun, Amos had been one of the most amusing people Deryn had met. Sometimes Deryn wondered if Amos actually knew he was so amusing, which he didn't mean in a rude way - more of in the sense that, Amos was the most laid back councilor around the table and seemed to come up with a new fashion all the time. Amos was the first Grey Deryn had ever seen, and he often wondered if they were all as distinctive as the next.
"Most likely, it would be for the best. Would you like me to take it to the vaults?" Now everyone in the room had been shocked out of whatever they were day dreaming about, the room was getting rather loud for the one who could read everyone's minds. Down in the vaults, you might run into one person, but that tended to be it. So Deryn didn't mind going down there, he quite enjoyed it really.
However, he was tempted to read Trinity's thoughts and find out what exactly the watch did - but he decided against it. Even though it'd probably help everyone figure out what had happened, when she'd appeared he'd picked up what was going on in her head anyway and everything was such a jumble he doubted he'd find anything there. That, and it had been painful. Being hurt usually made someone's thoughts painful, but Trinity's were in rather ridiculous levels of it. Fear was there too, enough to choke someone, so Deryn had decided to stay out until she was healed.
Adelaide frowned at the watch, she'd always been fearful of Trinity. Trinity seemed to be driven by the need to kill council members, and the pair of them had fallen out almost straight after they met. Adelaide was the best grudge holder, especially when Trinity was threatening people.
'What? We're just going to do as the assassin says now? It's Trinity Kane this is about, and she's threatening us with people dying. we should send her to the jails and-' She stopped her rant of thought when Deryn raised his eyebrows, she'd forgotten how annoying it was to have a mind reader in the council.
Deryn glanced over at Adelaide, "Adelaide's just volunteered to go call both Esme and the staff at Horia and tell them about current events. So
kind of you Adelaide while everyone else goes outside. I hear the heating broke in the office." He turned his attention back to Amos, and a trail of his thoughts drifted towards him.
'You may wish to go and see if Trinity will wake up any time soon. I'm pretty sure the only Grey she knows is your granddaughter. I'll head to the vaults, and on my way back I'll get you the smoothie that you've been thinking about for most of the meeting.' ѕσмєтιмєѕ, ωнαт'ѕ вєѕт fσя σтнєяѕ σνєяяυℓєѕ ωнαт'ѕ вєѕт fσя уσυяѕєℓf
