...........................∂aмιen ѕтave. ............... After finally managing to get away from Laurie who'd been demanding Damien help build a go-kart using the tires from his own car, Damien had been found by the over-eager nurses. They'd bossed the tired head teacher around for barely ten minutes as they changed the bandages on his shoulder and neck, though to Damien it had felt like hours. In the end, since he'd wanted to fall asleep so badly, he'd threatened to fire the nurses unless they let him go to his room to sleep. The nurses hadn't given in, until Durendel the dragon had appeared at the window and since the dragon looked rather hungry, the nurses had let Damien out of his personal hell on Earth.
Even when there was barely anyone in the school, Damien still found that he couldn't get any sleep, or even ten minutes of quiet. He'd wondered why he couldn't just be able to sleep without some issue waking him up. If it wasn't the students, it was the teachers, if it wasn't the teachers it was demons, if it wasn't demons it was the students... There was a never ending cycle of complaints and issues. He'd retreated into his office, deciding that while everyone else was keeping him awake he might as well attempt to finish the paperwork he'd been halfway through. He had managed to finish it, though, he'd probably have to re-do it since coffee had split onto it.
However, the worries of coffee stained papers weren't present in the young head teacher's mind. He was fast asleep. He had been for the past three hours, finally catching up on all the missed sleep. He'd fallen asleep sat at his desk, among the stacks of papers and books, arms folded in front of him with his head resting on top of them. His glasses, and a bunch of papers had fallen to the floor as he'd slept. The coffee he'd been drinking was stone cold, and rather close to the edge of the table as if it was about to fall off. Though, by the looks of things, a coffee cup crashing to the floor wouldn't wake the headteacher.
