Damien made a face, something that he wouldn't normally do. "You say that like I made her go, she was quite happy to burn the place down and refused to let me go with her."
Damien looked up at the door, hearing Solitude’s footsteps; no other person he knew of had a slight limp when stepping onto their left foot. The slight limp was a result of the curse mark that had been put on her ankle. Damien tapped his desk to get Caia’s attention quickly. He took a small box with a button on it from his pocket, “Press that button, in exactly two minutes. Okay?” He didn’t wait for an answer; he just took off his glasses and handed them over too. He didn’t need his glasses anymore since his eyes and the veins visible under his skin were slowly going gold as he tapped into his powers.
2:00 to go...
Damien’s office door opened, and Solitude stepped through, launching a dagger through the air aimed at Damien’s head. Damien ducked and turned with a roar that sounded a bit like that of a dragon. The knife embedded in the back of the chair where he’d been moments before and he jumped out of the window behind him, sending glass shattering to the floor. Solitude raced over and vaulted over the desk, following Damien out of the window.
1:55 to go...
After a few silent seconds there was a very loud roar and a very familiar dragon shot upwards, flapping its wings madly while the two window jumping lunatics clung to its back. Solitude was shrouded in dark smoke that shone like an oil slick whenever light hit it, she was activating her demonic aura. Damien was surrounded in similar smoke, yet it was golden instead of black. The dragon was heading towards the huge expanse of ocean over the cliff. Solitude was attempting to get closer to Damien so she could stab him with her sword; Damien was attempting to hold on. Solitude teleported over to Damien and a dragon’s tail went smacking into her shoulder causing her to fall backwards and then teleport back onto the dragon as Damien dived into the sea below. For some reason, it sounded like Damien was singing...
1:40 to go...
Solitude followed Damien into the murky water, and grabbed Damien’s collar, pushing him under and trying to drown him. The water around the teachers was churning with a variety of fins, tails and flippers and seven girls surfaced in a circle around Solitude bearing fangs. The mermaids swarmed and attempted to grab Solitude and the teacher screamed as the water around her went red with blood. Damien surfaced, gasping for air, not far away, two mermaids pulling him away while their sisters attacked Solitude.
1:15 to go...
Damien choked the water out of his lungs and roared something at the dragon circling in the sky above him. The dragon sank down to wrap it’s tail around Damien’s waist and then it launched off into the air.
1:00 to go...
Solitude had teleported herself to grab onto the dragons back and was clinging onto the dragon’s scales as she swung her sword towards Damien. She was covered in a variety of cuts and there was a particularly nasty looking one from her knee all the way to her ankle. The dragon flicked its tail out, sending Damien spiralling upwards with a yell.
0:45 to go...
Damien started squawking loudly as he began to fall towards an early death and the forest around Horia suddenly was alive with similar squawks as thousands of birds flew towards Damien and enveloped him in feathers.
0:40 to go...
Miraculously the group of birds seemed to be slowing the teacher’s descent and he managed to get to the floor with no broken bones. Damien stood up, and raced into the woods as Solitude teleported a few feet behind him, and started firing shots from a pistol at him.
0:35 to go...
Solitude tackled Damien and, after a lot of struggling, she punched him in the stomach and pressed a knife to his throat, causing a few beads of blood to weal up and drip down the silver blade. He grimaced and Solitude seemed to grin at the pain she was causing Damien.
